The First eInternational

Day 4,762, 08:01 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by SichimDragos

The struggle of eWorkers around the World remains the most important aspect on my agenda this is why I am thinking about creating some sort of international union of all citizens who follow the same creed as I do, to create an alliance of socialist parties and unaligned individuals (socialists at hart) from all around the eWorld. This First eInternational would be a brotherhood in which the strong will help the weak, citizens from other countries would try and give a hand to socialist from other parts of the eWorld and so forth.
Because this immense organization (in my mind at least) would be a task too ambitious for an individual so small as myself I thought that by writing this article I could get some feedback from you, my fellow countrymen and supporters before I start the official process of creating the eInternational. Before I start discussion more on this topic I would like to give credit to all the people that endorsed my first article, for all the warm comments and the likes that I have received from you, thank you very much, indeed.
Now, let's get back on the main topic.I will try to give you a brief presentation of what I have in mind when I am theorizing this very project and from there you could come with corrections, ideas, critiques and so on. First of all, I am thinking about ways of popularizing this organization, by which I mean, ways of getting people to join this international alliance of parties and unaligned individuals. As far as I am aware there is no official ingame mechanic to create such an organisation. This is why I am thinking that this organisation would rather be based around a newspaper where we could have a panel with all the countries involved, with specific parties and unaligned individuals that will give their written accord to be part of this organisation. I am pretty good at graphics so I would use the magic of Photoshop to make it simple for us to understand who is exactly part of this organisation. A mock up will be presented below.

Now, getting back on track, I was talking about a way of popularizing this organization and for now I am thinking of 2 methods. You should come and critique these two proposals.

1. Through Direct Mail.
I am thinking of writing an invitation letter to all left wing party leaders from all the countries in eRepublic. I hope this won't be considered spamming by the game engine, fingers crossed. In this mail I would present each party leader the ethos of the organisation, the principles, the code of conduct, all the rules that one must follow and the benefit of being part of this band of brothers. If one agrees with these terms and after he deliberates with party members if necessary and they all want to join, then he will then give the board of the eInternational his written accord to be part of this organisation until one decides not to be part of the eInternational for some reasons or because one party is revoked its membership because of violations of the laws in place.

2.Popularizing Through the Power of the Written World
The second thing that I have in my mind is using press articles to popularize this organization to party leaders and escialy unaligned individuals, that I would otherwise miss by focusing my effort with the strategy number 1. I am not sure if this would be considered spamming, aswell, but what I am thinking is quite simple, by simple I mean that I would publish an article in every country from eRepublick and through these articles I would present the organisation and explain its inner mechanisms and then give the people of the eWorld the opportunity to directly enroll in the organisation without being party members. If one gives his written acord in the comment section of these articles or through direct mail to the board of this organisation then one would be considered part of the organisation until one considers not to be or he/ she is excluded by a moderator due to violation of the terms of the eInternational.

Now, the real question is: what is this organisation that I am so eager to popularize? How is it going to function? What are the rules that one must obey and what are the benefits for joining such an organization? This is the area where I need you to come and help me. You could propose anything and I will try to incorporate your proposals into the Magna Carta of this organization if they truly fit the creed socialism. The main purpose of the eInternational is to create a multi national body that ecompases as many socialists sympathisers and left wing parties as possible. I envision that these individuals and political entities would help each other in order to achieve different goals, or simply because socialism means working together, because, at the end of the day, we are all workers whose common interest would be to achieve the greater good, not individual greatness. This is the premise but I can understand if this is too vague for most of you. From here it is my job to try to formulate more choseve goals, rules and programs for this organisation. This is also a place where any intervention from you would be highly appreciated.

Programs.
Let me now tell you about 3 initial programs that I have been thinking of:

1. The Non-Aggression Pact

This might sound a little bit extreme and very much against the very logic of eRepublik, a game whose heavily focused on war mechanics but please keep reading and try to visualize what I am trying to put forward and then try and help me develop this further. What I've been thinking while theorizing this is that a Non-Aggression pact between the members of the eInternational would help the eWorld to restabilize, would help countries to come to normality. At the moment the map gore is at an extreme level and many countries struggle to have their territories independent.
For short, The Non-Aggression pact would oblige those who are part of this organization to not interfere in war of aggression instituted by their home country against another country that has members in this organization. This is only an offensive pact, if one's country is attacked by another country that has players or parties also members of this organization, then the members from the country that is under attack have the right to defend themselves, so, basically business as usual.
There is another aspect of this Non-Aggression pact that I would rather like to have it optional and not mandatory, I am talking about one's moral responsibility to help a conquered nation in their struggle for independence. So, for example if X country whose party or players are part of this organisation fight for their independence of their original regions it is one's moral duty to help them get their regions back from the imperialist warmongers. Aside from that parties or players from unfortunate countries, deprived of their indepence would be given a voice in the organization, mainly through the power of journalism, and then, people from the organization could start donating currency, gold, equipments and so forth, basically the Spanish Civil War but this time to commies win. (Probably)

1. The Free Movement Act

The Free Movement Act is all about one's right to have control over his future, to give oneself the freedom of choice when it comes to one's citizenship. Basically, what I want to say with the Free Movement Act is that, political parties that have members who are Congressmen of x countries, would help individuals from other countries, also members of the eInternational to change citizenship to x if they wish so. The process of obtaining citizenship could be a tedious task right now for someone that is not of high level so it would be much better if your socialist brothers from another mother would help you do what you wish to do in the first place without all the hassle. If one would want to do such a thing, then he/she would only need to speak to a representative of the organisation or simply to an eligible Congressman, member of our organisation, or whose party is part of this organisation, from the country that he hopes to relocate to. This might not be something that could be achieved every time, all the time because there are limitations to this, mainly due to the need of having an eligible Congressman in all the countries in erepublic that is also a member of the organisation, but even if this thing would not be an option for some of the countries, to have the ability to be able to get the citizenship of other countries without the hard work of being rejected a million times would still be great thing.

3.Free Cycle Foundation/ The Welfare State.

The Free Cycle Foundation or the Welfare State is something self explanatory but maybe more vague than the other two programs proposed before. This program is all about helping underdeveloped players, part of the eInternational to grow and prosper so when needed they could help us as a community. This sounds good but it would be rather hard to implement. I wouldn't like to simply oblige or tax wealthier, more resourceful individuals and then redistribute that wealth into the pockets of those who have not been so lucky/ successful. What I am thinking about is more subtle, I see this as a Free Cycle group where people with resources that they do not actually need could start sharing with those deprived of those resources. The hardness comes from organizing a Free Cycle international Foundation. Maybe, people that have extra resources could contact directly, or through moderators of the eInternational, low level active members of the eInternational (as all members and parties that are part of eInternational would be linked in an article) and then donate those extra resources to them. I am also trying hard in my mind to find some other way to make this Free Cycle intiative to work some other way, more efficiently, without wasting anyone's resources and keeping it fair, without discrimination.

The Last Thing Now, Recruiting.

Because this organisation would be too big of a thing for myself I would like to ask for people that want to be moderators to just say that and here you go, you are a moderator. I would not like moderators to have any special power, nor should I have no greater influence into this organisation than the average members. When it comes to leadership I am thinking of letting the most powerful party leader from each country have the power to veto proposals of the eInternational, yet, I would like to give every single member the power to propose whatever one might want to propose.
Getting back to my recruitment announcement, all I am saying is that I am looking for individuals that want to be part of this thing, to work as moderators, copywriters and so on. The second thing that I must say, and I promise that this is the last thing that I want to bother you with: Hey, even though the organisation is not yet finished, and things are not polished and shiny I would like to ask players and party leaders from eUK if you would like to join this eInternational from the get-go. You could either write me a message or say in the comments that you want to be a member and voila I will make an article that I would constantly upgrade with your name/ party written in it.
Thanks very much for your support and I am looking forward to receiving your feedback.

We shall overcome,
