Perspective on "overhitting"
JRCS
Recently, there has been quite a lot of discussion (and occasional complaints) about "overhitting".
To some extent this puzzles me.
Any eUK citizen who is fighting in a battle for eUK (TW or RW) are (presumably) following the Daily Orders from eUK MOD. If they are not, then they should be, unless they've chosen to fight elsewhere in some other country's war.
It seems to me there are 2 factors at play here: (i) the objectives set out by eUK Government and MOD and (ii) personal interests to maximise one's own medals tally.
Although I am personally not strong enough to "overhit" anyone (due to my daily Energy levels) I can see no reason why anyone would object to being overhit by a fellow citizen if it is furthering the eUK objectives for that battle.
Let's face it, if I'm in a battle which is being lost - but am the the heaviest hitter in that battle so far - I would be delighted to have a fellow citizen come in and overhit me if it turns a losing battle into a winning one.
Granted, in that scenario, I fail to win a medal due to having been overhit, but at least our military and country's objectives have been met. So we live to fight another day!
Perhaps, I'm being naive. Maybe I'm missing something. But if we're all doing what the DO's stipulate (directly or indirectly) then we all win in the long run.
So what's the problem with overhitting? I don't see it.
I rest my case.
Thank you for reading this.

I would assume it is only a problem when player X puts all their resources into getting the top spot, only for a pay to win player sniping you in the last minute in a battle your side was already going to win
Since all the fights are TWs right now, I do understand why people do tend to get more damage inflicted, win medals. It is all about gold, medals, gold and more gold as it is quite easy to get especially in air fights.
Now because there are no 'real' wars and possibilities of being erased from the map and I think it is a bit harsh to criticize the overhiting situation.
My view on it:
1) losing battle, deal a decent amount of damage without wasting a lot of resources. By decent I mean an average damage that can be dealt within your strenght / energy levels. This is a losing battle.. there is no point to get an 'All in' and use EB's - keep them. The problem is you don't know the damage level the enemy will have.. you might win the fight.
2) winning battle, you can throw as much as you can to get the determination points in eUK's favour. If the wall is in our favour, I do thinking everything above that is overkill. Again, depends on each player - personally I do hit in winning battles even the wall is in our favour, but I do no waste any important resources. (only for DO, try to spent some energy while at work, etc. and only if the determination points are really close. example: 51/49 ) overall nothing important. I do prioritize the winning battles over the lost ones.
I do think we need to explain to the whole TW's situation we currently have 'ping/pong - Defender always wins the battle.'
If there was a real possibility of being erased from the eWorld, I think a full coordination should be in place and make sure people are dealing the right amount of damage in the right fights. In that case I would be angry and frustrated in for any overkill in fights.
Again, with some respect you can achieve a lot of things. This is a game at the end of the day, just have fun and try your best in the community you are part of.
