Perspective on "overhitting"

Day 5,297, 02:58 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by JRCS

Recently, there has been quite a lot of discussion (and occasional complaints) about "overhitting".

To some extent this puzzles me.

Any eUK citizen who is fighting in a battle for eUK (TW or RW) are (presumably) following the Daily Orders from eUK MOD. If they are not, then they should be, unless they've chosen to fight elsewhere in some other country's war.

It seems to me there are 2 factors at play here: (i) the objectives set out by eUK Government and MOD and (ii) personal interests to maximise one's own medals tally.

Although I am personally not strong enough to "overhit" anyone (due to my daily Energy levels) I can see no reason why anyone would object to being overhit by a fellow citizen if it is furthering the eUK objectives for that battle.

Let's face it, if I'm in a battle which is being lost - but am the the heaviest hitter in that battle so far - I would be delighted to have a fellow citizen come in and overhit me if it turns a losing battle into a winning one.

Granted, in that scenario, I fail to win a medal due to having been overhit, but at least our military and country's objectives have been met. So we live to fight another day!

Perhaps, I'm being naive. Maybe I'm missing something. But if we're all doing what the DO's stipulate (directly or indirectly) then we all win in the long run.

So what's the problem with overhitting? I don't see it.

I rest my case.

Thank you for reading this.
