It would be nice to know how to do overtime to earn some extra money

You need houses for that, just as it says in the description:
"Receive 1 Overtime Point every hour from each active House."
I can see in your residence, that you currently don't own any houses. You should certainly buy q1, because from overtime you will receive more money back than what you spent on the house.

This is the only way to get overtime points, but as I said - once you buy that house, you will gain more money back. Oxford with its 11 citizens now is a small town, so the house will be valid for 7 days +20%, that means some 8 days and 10 hours. That will let you work additional 8 (and a half) times multiplied by your salary, which should be nearing 2100 GBP. You do the math how much money you're going to earn 🙂
Everyone should have a Q1 house active at all times. Q2 (and especially higher Q's) would yield some net losses. They have their benefits, obviously, but for now I'd focus on Q1 only.
UK government used to assist people with buying their first Q1 house (after the first one you'll earn more than enough in OT each week to buy next week's house). I'm not sure if that program is still running, hopefully someone in the know will respond here.

I wouldn't worry about the other Q houses if I was you, just get the Q1 house and keep it active; and you can work twice a day (gives you 24 overtime points per day).
