A bit of Star Wars humour to get us started
Now, onto the platform upon which I am running on to be CP in the April-May term!
Finances
Throughout the coming month, me and my team will be presenting a budget based on the income that we receive from taxes and renting our regions, and expenses which will include plans for up to 5 MPP’s as well as funding for the Wellness Assistance program. There is also the potential for weapons supplies to citizens and even something like a Personal Development Grant again if the budget allows for it. I will leave the budgeting up to my Minister of Redistribution (Finance), and between the two of us, we will be able to let you know all of the plans. But for sure, there will be money set aside of MPPs and a national feeding program. My Minister of Redistribution and I have already begun working on a budget for the coming term should you choose to elect a Mann551 government. Hopefully this budget will be finalized and ready to be presented to congress immediately and presented to the general population just a little while afterwards.
War
I have renamed the Ministry of Defence for this month to the Ministry of Offence, and the Minister will be looking at ways in which we can explore other parts of the world and have some fun and action instead of the same old same old. You will be kept up to date on these developments.
National Unification
We are fairly united as it is currently, and so I have not made any plans to further unite the country.
Community/Activity
I have introduced quite a few new cabinet positions and given solid mandates to others to try and drive community activity and community knowledge. I have created the following positions, and what follows is their description:
Minister of the Unimpressed - A critic of the government. An expectation that articles will be published that will force the government to maintain transparency and ensure the government is responsible and held to account for their actions, whether good or bad.
In addition, with the awakening happening in other parties such as the IPC, I trust that working in conjunction with my Minister of the Unimpressed, this government will have its feet kept close to the fire to ensure maximum opacity.
I have also recreated the Ministry of Health to encourage our younger players to get involved and to make sure they are being as productive as can be. I’ve also given purpose to the Ministry of Education, in that I want them to go back through the history of Canada and share about important events that have shaped who we are today.
I will be releasing my cabinet article within the next couple of days. Keep your eyes peeled. And now a final funny star wars picture.

So you're working on a budget, eh? But you're not going to share it with us until you get elected? How transparent of you. But wait, you're aiming for "maximum opacity" (you know that opaque 😕= transparent, right?) so you probably shouldn't even be telling us that you're preparing a budget at all. Also, if your only stated expense is to sign 5 MPPs that still leaves you hundreds of thousands in rental income to embezzle.
What? Oh, look, some joke from a movie that most of us have forgotten about by now to distract us! (I take it that Darth Maul got cut in two or something? Really, I bleached those prequels from my mind more than the Hobbit, which thankfully never became the source of a useless political party here.)
Ugh, I just noticed you want that minister to write articles, plural. I'm out. I'm either into novels or one-liners, and more so the latter these days. Biting comments in articles is about the only midway medium I employ these days.
All kidding aside, decent platform and certainly one of the best we've seen in years. No offence, ED, but "Vote for me, I'm ED" isn't really the strongest arguments I've seen, especially when you don't always make it.

I get confused with opacity sometimes, I often think of it as a synonym for transparency, when it truly is an antonym. That is my fault and I will take full responsibility for that one.
There are other expenses which will be presented in the budget once congress approves it. There should of course be some money left over for Combat Orders, but already with the plans for 5 MPP's there is more of a plan for the money that is brought in than there has been over the past few months.
And hey... I personally like Star Wars, and while I understand that there may be some here who do not, or do not understand some of the jokes I might post... I'm sorry. But let me have a little fun of my own. I laugh at these jokes. 😃
