[FIST] Around the World, Vol I [FIST]



Greetings to all of you in the eWorld. It's been a while since we've chat. I bring you the warm fraternal greetings of the Federalist Party. How are you all doing with this whole pandemic thing? I think I'm starting to get a little stir-crazy. It's winter, I live within walking distance to work. Our daily customer count is like three. I need a vacation. Let's take a little stroll around the world and visit possible destinations.





Malta

Can you imagine the history that goes back to approximately 5900 BC of Malta? I mean, I can see the Phoenicians using the island as a base to carry out their pirate missions. If you enjoy history, then you can feel it oozing out of the rocks. Seems just about every Mediterranean civilization has called this nation theirs during their conquests. I hope I see it before I pass this earth.

It reminds me of the time the iNCi came to the eUS some years back. What a time to be alive? They were energetic, rowdy, fun-loving trolls. What ever happened to them? Where did they come from? Where did they go? They were so happy to join us in the eUS. Remember how scared many people got when they became a top five party? That was back in the days when the top five parties colluded for delegates. We used to share a spreadsheet with all of the states, and 'give' each other safe representatives' spots.



This was when I came onto the political scene. I had the priviledge of working with Nick in SEES (can't remember her name now, but so glad that she is keeping that giant pe**😉. It was like hearding feral cats...messaging people the days leading up to the congressional elections to get in position. Those were truly good times. Back then, the eUSA was unified in its goals to see the country succeed. I would like to think that we have slowly come together over the last year as a nation.





Thailand

Honestly, I've never had much interest in Thailand but my fiance says it looks like one of the most beautiful places in the world. I wouldn't mind seeing that for myself. It's been described as 'A Land of a Thousand Temples.' While I do not consider myself affiliated with Hinduism or Buddhism, I do love to visit spiritual places. Rosslyn Chapel is a ON the list, but I digress.

There is evidence of human habitation as far back as 20,000 years ago. Americans cannot even begin to fathom the history of other places in the world. It seems like if you have traditions dating back thousands of years, you should be entitled to be a little 'set in your ways.' The US, nor the eUS, do not seem to fully understand that youth does not equal superiority. From the day that we Air Struck Thailand a chain of events was set into motion. And here we are, the eUS joining with eSerbia and the Asteria sphere. Honestly, I never thought it would happen; but I am thrilled to meet a new group of players.

Don't get me wrong, there are awesome people in the other sphere. It's just nice to get out, stretch our legs, and see what's going on over here. I hope that everyone is active on Discord, Telegram, or wherever your communities live. The numbers are down, ya'll, so enjoy the comaraderie while you can. I fully expect that one day we'll wake up and erepublik will be offline, virtually overnight. I hope not; because there are many people, perspectives, and points of view that I would dearly miss.





Finland

I mean, seriously, how f***ing cool is a church carved or made out of rocks. From all accounts, Finns are bad-a** mother f***ers. I've been fortunate enough to get to know three in my time in erepublik, and they are all awesome people (betcha can't guess). And don't they have like the most heavy metal bands in the world, and other metal AF characteristics? Humanoids have been in Finland from as far back as 120k-130k years ago. Holy S***! Humans probably go back to 8500 BC, but that's still old AF.

I see eFinland is in Pacifica. Is that alliance still a thing? NGL, I was kinda sad when we left. Wild Owl always said 'Pacifica was supposed to merge with Asteria' and I believe it. It's a shame that the eUS couldn't have stuck around to make/see that happen. Perhaps the members still left will find their way.
