[Don Ecclestone / McMahon] Motorsport and Wrestling Return

Day 4,953, 02:17 Published in India India by DonMogul

Both competitions mentioned in this article are, for the first time, open to the whole eRepublik world!

Gentlemen - Prepare Your Cars!

This series can have a massive field of cars (up to 50!)

Competitors can register to have ONE car for free. Further cars will cost 1 GOLD. Limit of 2 cars per person. There will be prize money paid out to the top 5 competitors, the amount depends on how many cars are in the series.

Competitors will also be able to specify 3 colours to appear on their cars. You can ask for any colour you like but to be certain you get the exact colour I recommend using this site https://www.color-hex.com/random.php and sending me the colour codes.

Now for the fun bit!

You will also be able to customise your drivers skills across 5 categories with the sum of all the skills being 260. If you purchase extra seats you can send in TOTALLY DIFFERENT stats for each driver!

Here are the available stats that competitors will be able to customise:

Aggression (0-100):
A measure of the AI Driver’s behavior when interacting with other cars. Low Aggression encourages more car spacing and less overtake attempts. High Aggression encourages tighter car spacing and more overtake attempts.

Optimism (0-100):
A measure of the AI Driver’s confidence in their own skill. A lower value results in more conservative throttle and braking behavior, such as lift and coast into a braking zone. A higher value results in more confident throttle and brake behavior, such as aiming for optimal acceleration and braking marks more often.

Smoothness (0-100):
A measure of the AI Driver’s steering behavior. A lower value results in more oversteer. A higher value results in more understeer.

Pit Crew Skill (0-100):
A measure of the training and consistency of the AI Driver’s pit crew. A lower value results in slower pit service times. A higher value results in optimal pit service times.

Pitting Strategy Riskiness (0-100):
A measure of the AI Driver’s likelihood to gamble with pit service. A lower value results in conservative pitting strategy. A higher value results in pushing the car to avoid pitting.

And now the settings that will change between races

You old dinosaurs will remember that I used to fix 'success ballast' to the top 3 finishers of any given race. I will do the same here but its not ALL bad news.

Relative Skill:
A lower value results in slower cornering speeds and a less optimum driving line. A higher value results in faster cornering speeds and a more optimum driving line.

Each driver will start with 80% skill.
Winning racers will lose 5%
2nd place will lose 3%
3rd place will lose 1%

Sounds bad huh? But it is balanced slightly with the following tweak.

Age:
The simulated age in years of the AI Driver. A value closer to prime racing age results in faster reaction times. As age increases, it also provides racing experience that can slightly improve overall performance.

Each driver will start at the tender age of 13!
Winning racers will age 3 years.
2nd place will age 2 years.
3rd place will age 1 year.

No car setups for this competition! It takes too much time and I don't have as much time as I did last time!

It's Time to Play the Game!

No... not this guy. You won't be playing him.

Ha ha ha I am so funny! 😃

So I am glad to bring this back. I always have a great deal of fun with this competition. I have spent a fair amount of the last few years being a Dungeon Master for D&D games... which kinda applies to things like this.

Anyone who is interested will be able to customise a wrestler to represent them and they will also be able to select an existing wrestler's move set.

You will also be able to assign 950 total points across 12 categories. Maximum of 100 points per category

STP - Strike Power: Amount of damage done by strike attacks.
GRP - Grapple Power: Amount of damage done by grapple attacks.
SUB - Submission: How effective submission moves are
STD - Strike Defense: How easy it is to block a strike attack.
GRD - Grapple Defense: How easy it is to block a grapple attack.
SPD - Speed : Walking and running speed.
AGL - Agility: Diving distance and climbing speed.
ADR - Adrenaline: How much you can run before getting worn out.
RCV - Recovery: How quickly you can get up after getting knocked down.
DUR - Durability: How quickly you get damaged.
CHA - Charisma: How much meter you gain by completing taunts.
TAG - Tag Team: How much damage double team attacks do.

I will also encourage everyone to roleplay a little in this competition too. Bare in mind, however, I am not going to allow 9001 backroom brawls every episode. The occasional one between major rivals is fine but I want most of the damage done to people to be done during matches.

Participant Number Goals
We need a certain number of wrestlers to have a meaningful competition. The more people we have... the more championship belts will be available.

10 wrestlers - eWWE Championship
16 wrestlers - Tag Team Championship
20 wrestlers - World Heavyweight Championship
30+ - I'll ask the eWorld if they want a Women's Championship in the competition

A nominal 1 GOLD fee is required for WWE. One wrestler only per person.

The Founding of eRepublik Betting Agency

For the motorsport competition, I will accept bets from the eRepublik world. In order to submit a bet, simply transfer the amount of INR to my account that you want to bet on and send me a message that says something like:

"Bet on John Smith - 1000 INR"

I will take and accept bets right up until I go live in my Twitch stream where I broadcast the race.

I will pool the money together in one big pot. I'll take 20% out (hey I do a lot of work for these things, I gotta get something out of it!) and then calculate odds.

Please note: The odds are for informational purposes only up until the moment I go live on Twitch. They are only giving an indication of where the money has been bet.

The entire pot (less my fee of course) will go to the people who bet on the winner.

This picture should explain it better:

This will work pretty much the same way for the WWE competition. Except instead of a massive field (in most cases anyway) there will be individual prize pools for each match.

So if you are an eRepublik player and any of this sounds like fun, let me know below!

All races and WWE episodes will be streamed on Twitch. Then 24-48 hours later I will have highlights and an article prepared.

I have to delay highlights by 24 hours at the minimum. The contract I have with Twitch gives them 24 hours exclusive rights to footage I stream. After that period I can do whatever I like.
