Dear citizens of the eNetherlands,

Welcome to my sixteenth Country Presidential term *gasps*. Let us go down to business. My team consists of familiar faces that have worked on improving the Netherlands in the recent 1.5 years. Shawtyl0w is my Vice President, and always a stable and dedicated player to the eNetherlands in both good and bad times. He will be responsible for reviewing immigrations applicants as well, not to mention his awesome work in managing our communes and Q7 stocks. Janty F and Fmcv will be responsible for the Finances and initiatives like the Housing Program. Nothing more to add seeing the excellent work there, really. Van Der Kaczy and Arcanic Mindje will be the faces of the Defense and Foreign Affairs departments respectively, considering they are so interconnected. I will continue my work on running the Green Beret and Flying Dutchman Programs.

* A Word on War
Let me be clear, the recent wars versus Bosnia and Ireland are not to be seen as rare occurrences or a once in a life time opportunity, but something that will happen more often probably. We have worked relentlessly for over a year to improve our military - both in the air and on the ground - so that we can help our allies and friends, as well as to defend our homeland. We have never given in to pressure of our enemies and never considered deals with them, even when our friends were down and Code-Turkey was promising us retaliation for helping historic friends in Iran and Spain.

That means we are to be ready for a more active role in the international community at any time. We have a fair bit of experience with launching (fake) proposals, which are lucrative due to our small size. And when push comes to shove, we will fight as shown in our recent wars. We are improving in strength by the day, and the time has come to utilize it. Now more than ever, we have the opportunity to meaningfully contribute towards the efforts of Asteria versus Code - instead of solely expecting their damage to aid us. And we are ready for that.

* Economic Power Netherlands
For perhaps the first time ever in eDutch history, the long-term policies of the Governments have resulted in significant growth of our economic potential. One look at the income from the WAM Tax shows that efforts like the Black Friday Fund or Build Your Own Stuff pay off. We are, however, still a far distance away from more established economic powers. Obviously partly due to our bad geographic location and the resources we can attain, but also because many people just recently started focussing on production. Even though it may seem paradoxical due to the lost taxes of producing abroad, it is determinant in providing a self-sufficient populace, that can help the eNetherlands in times of need.

Tying into that, the main goal of 2020 should be to invest in Q7 Communes. We currently have three, one is coming in the near future. Each of these communes give around 500 Q7 weapons a month solely by their owner working on them and can be utilized by the Ministry of Defence to make our Programs independent from the budget, from events and from wars. This leaves more room for other purposes, like investments in the economic productivity of our citizens or other war purposes. I therefore, in preparation, have bought Q7 factories myself that I will offer to be bought by the Government with a discount, so that we can quickly move onto this goal. Such a proposal will soon be offered to Congress.

* Pointless Laws
I take great inspiration from Janty F and his recent article on 'pointless laws' show the weakness of the eNetherlands in the game somewhat. We very much value our laws and perhaps are one of the few countries that have such a well-regulated political system. It, however, should adapt to the reality on the ground and of the game. Considering the recent elections and the balance in Congress, I believe the time is right to adjust that.

Especially the Constitution - on which a proposed reform was accepted with a clear majority in the past but not with the required 2/3 support - is in need of modernizing. At least, if we want the Constitution to still be valid in this day and age.

* Reminder - Training Wars
We are blessed with a relatively large numbers of Training Wars despite our small size - with Lithuania, Latvia, Germany and Poland. With the increasing number of fighters, more may be acquired, although we keep in account that we are not stretching ourselves thin and make foreign interventions impossible.
