[Armed Forces] The National Military Unit ~ Join Today!
Department for Munitions
The British Armed Forces are open for business!
After many years, the eUK has its own National Military once again; the British Armed Forces. The unit is funded by a dedicated core of suppliers and the Government, and is open to all eUK citizens- all are welcome!
The Armed Forces will be made up of distinct regiments, each with their own flavour and identity, working within the unit for the betterment of the eUK and her allies. Some regiments are based on formerly private units that have decided to merge into the BAF, while others will be brand new, made up of individuals who join the unit.
We encourage regiments to adopt a name and a logo/design which they can wear on their avatar, to give the feel of a ‘unit within a unit’.
As for the avatars, here’s an example of the Armed Forces’ ‘uniform’:
All unit members are encouraged to contact Boaty McBoatface to get their own made. Let him know if you have any other special things you’d like to be added and he’ll see what he can do.
The MUs Nifty and Ghost Regiment are confirmed as having joined the Armed Forces and their members are moving over. Any other MUs that wish to move across wholescale and have their own regiment(s), should contact the Commander- Rory Winterbourne
The Unit currently has two defined groupings of players, though we are yet to be able to seperate properly out into different regiments as not enough players have joined the Armed Forces. This will change soon.
Players that join the BAF will be able to ask to be able to join these regiments (its at the discretion of the regiment captain), or ask to be placed into a new regiment that they will be able to help forge the identity of.
The two current groupings are;
Ghost Division
Ghost Division is a Divison 1 focused regiment, recently set up by Rory Winterbourne. An article that explains what they are all about can be found here. If you want to join this regiment, get in touch with Rory.
Nifty
Nifty is a pretty laid back regiment of players with a big emphasis on having fun. You can find a bit of what they are about in their newspaper: http://m.erepublik.com/en/newspaper/nifty-news-316004/1
If you want to join the NiftyReg, then get in touch with Fataliix.
The Armed Forces has begun running a commune system, where by working for one of our suppliers you can receive up to 100 Q7s weapons a week. If you are a member of the British Armed Forces you can apply using the form here.
We have substantial weapon producing capacity but not unlimited, so join now and sign up!
The Armed Forces is a unit about coming together to fight for the eUK, putting aside any rivalries we may have among ourselves. It is a strictly non-political unit, and treats all eUK citizens equally. If fighting effectively for the eUK and her allies sounds appealing to you, or maybe you have other talents than just fighting to offer the eUK, the Armed Forces is the place for you!

Is that 100 Q7s weapons a week, for players that fight? or are players that dont fight will get them as well,
probably ending up on the market.. if so thats going to a big wast of tax payers money.
People will only get weapons if they fight- its written on the application form
"You will receive up to 100 Q7 weapons per week depending on how many fights you do. The minimum sent out per week is 40 (if you don't fight), 100 if you get over 245 kills the previous week (35 per day). Supplies sent out Tuesdays.
If you miss a day at work, then your supplies will have a 7th removed - you can always work overtime to catch up.
eg You work 6 days and accumulate 210 kills. You will be supplied 77 Q7s
You work 1 day and have zero kills. You get 6 Q7's"
40 tanks a week if you dont fight?
Yeah 40 tanks, which is worth 628cc a week. An ordinary job is 672cc a week. So basically there is nothing anyone will gain by getting paid in tanks and doing no damage. The only people who will benefit are those who fight
And if someone is only getting 40 tanks a week, then that means there is a whole load of other production that will be going to other people who fight
Should make it 20 if they aint fighting; I think they'll appreciate that ordinance goes mainly to those who actually use it
take that up with the commander 😛
Also I should point out that so far no taxpayers money has been spent, we can do a good deal of this just with the suppliers that have committed to the unit

Out of interest what is the British Armed Forces policy in regards to;
Mercenary Achievements - the UK tends to have a similar set of allies and it'd be certainly difficult claim you are more effective than other UK MUs in fighting for the eUK and her allies if your Soldiers are securing these achievements regularly.
Similarly for Freedom Fighter Achievements although more possible as I have seen the MoD orders to fight in RWs on occasions however again it'd be difficult to claim to be more effective than other UK MUs in fighting for the eUK and her allies if your soldiers spent their time chasing around the globe for "sure" wins.
Finally Battle Hero / Campaign Hero Achievements for non-allied Nations for similar reason above.
I personally don't see the harm in chasing the above achievements (who doesn't like a cheap BH) as longs as the important battles for the UK and her allies are put first. I just wondered if the British Armed Forces policies would be more strict as there is a possibility soldiers will be receiving supplies in part paid for by the UK tax payer.
If the fighting effectively for the eUK and her allies is just ensuring the Daily Order is kept up to date inline with the MoD Orders (although fairly standard for a UK MU) and an increase number of soldiers using the in-game chat for strikes that is fair enough again I just wondered if the British Armed Forces had greater ambitions for damage direction.
Primary reason I'll be staying 7th. Anyone wanting to chase medals (i.e. the actual game instead of someone else's agenda) is welcome in 7th; In fact anyone other than Jack Jockson or myself should preferably be a dead citizen or at least no fights for months on end.
The usual problem, education, getting people to understand where the line in the sand between goal accomplishment and blind dedication lie. Policing if people are taking the piss or honestly trying to do right by the MUs objectives. Suspect the easier option of dictating orders will be required, as it's already complex to administer.
Guess the brass of this new MU are pulling stats from eGov or similar, but even so seems a lot of work distributing supplies. With upcoming region government, me thinks we'll run out of willing peeps.
Be careful you don't join these imposters http://www.erepublik.com/en/main/group-show/56
