That is All for Now
PilotPhil
I really want to write an awesome article with tons of links and pictures of hot bartenders and curling and soup and all of that other stuff that has made my articles not suck so bad in the past. Unfortunately my computer died and I am currently eRepping from my iPhone. This makes all those links and graphics way too cumbersome so please look past the lack of "pretty" in this one. I promise I will publish something with hot chicks and yummy soup just as soon as I can.
I can say that the last few days of eRep have been interesting and awful and awesome and weird and who knows what else. Jude quit for one. Or at least quit the eUS and who could blame him. Fluffer bringing RL $hit into this fantasy world is at least a little too overboard. Jude was a great friend and mentor to me in this game and whether one agreed with him or not he always made eLife interesting. I didn't know Artela well but it didn't take very long after bashing her in an article that Jude backhanded me and told me to get my facts straight before hitting the publish button. After a few apologies and shots of eTequila on my tab Artela and I are now good as far as I know.
I don't know exactly where this one is going other than to say that those folks that run this country better realize that the rest of us live here too. We matter and we are all important. Don't discount the power of an angry populace because you won't like the results. Plato has made it easy for the chosen few to stay in power but hopefully a day will come when the rest of us will get our say. Those little voices you hear screaming outside your palace windows are getting louder.
I am an American, I am a revolutionary and I will be a thorn in the side of those that seek to oppress the average citizen. Not everything the leaders of this country do is wrong but much of what has been happening lately is far from right.
That is all for now.

Excellent
I enjoy your writing, so I make it a point to read every article you publish. What I really don't get though is how a vocal group of which you seem to be part of keep making statements like...
"I don't know exactly where this one is going other than to say that those folks that run this country better realize that the rest of us live here too. We matter and we are all important."
You all have been playing long enough to know that those who run parties and the government won elections to be in charge. Winning elections is a mandate to run things how the elected sees fit. If that's not acceptable then you all should work together to win elections and when elected you will have the power to change it how you see fit.
"Don't discount the power of an angry populace because you won't like the results."
When you make statements like this you are contradicting yourselves. At this point the vocal opposition to those in charge is discounting the will of the majority who elected the party leaders and government folks because you don't like the results. Whether good or bad we are a democracy and the minority does not get to run things. The minority also cannot say that they speak for most players because, well they would not be the minority if they did. Elections have consequences. If the minority is dissatisfied then all they need to do to get satisfaction is become the majority and win elections.
I've been here since pretty much the start of the game and for the most part all I have seen is those in the minority say the majority keeps them from being in charge. Someone with a minority viewpoint will run for election, lose, and then say it was because those in the majority just want to stay in power and keep others out. All without realizing that in essence that is how democracy works.
the sad fact is the majority are sheeple who 2 click and are content to just be told what to do and how to vote, and the power players rely on that 🙂

You are correct there Artela. That would mean that the responsibility of changing that rests with the minority that desires change. There is nothing stopping them from reaching out to the sheeple and convincing them to get behind the views of the opposition. If the vocal minority convinces the sheeple then suddenly the minority becomes the majority.
Thanks for reading my stuff I appreciate it. You made some valid points My worry is that the members of the top 5 parties vote for the same leadership every time without thought. These leaders don't/won't give up the power they have and just expect everyone to fall in line behind them. A few more citizens thinking for themselves might lead to some good changes around here.
That's the thing though. If one just assumes that people are mindlessly falling in line and don't really want what they vote for, isn't that just as bad as those in charge assuming they know best and everyone should fall in line. In that case both sides are viewing the majority as mindless and incapable of thinking for themselves. Is it actually so hard to believe that the majority actually votes for what they want?
Not trying to be antagonistic, just throwing out the idea that just maybe the majority of players are satisfied with the leadership they voted for.
It only took a couple of months to realize there was a meta-government.
They have a monopoly on communication. They censor people that don't agree with them.
I endorse PilotPhil and his drunken rambling.
