Rump State

Day 4,744, 15:26 Published in USA USA by George Barker
A rump state is the remnant of a once-larger government, left with limited powers or authority after a disaster, invasion, military occupation, secession or partial overthrowing of a government. -- Definitions.com

As I type this out, I am supporting a RW in Georgia, Romania. Of the 8 people currently supporting it, I am the only American citizen. The rest are all Romanians and Moldovans. This is somewhat unusual -- more often than not, there are two or three American citizens supporting RWs -- but neither is it all that atypical: the majority of the gold in RWs goes to foreigners, not US citizens. BH medals in US battles for the US side, which almost always went to US citizens in the past, now often go to foreigners. We are shrinking ourselves down to a tiny little country, shutting ourselves off from RL population centers like Texas -- which has a RL population greater than half the countries in this game -- to generate more gold for foreign countries. In other words, we now have more RWs and battles than American citizens can possibly benefit from, and we're creating even more.

And in the process, we are forcing citizens to move to other regions, and not properly compensating them for the cost. Some will quit rather than go through the headache. But the people in charge, if you can call them that, don't seem to care. And now that I think on it, why should they? Every real person who quits the game simply magnifies the voting power of their multis. Screwing things up for the average person actually solidifies their grip on power.

Once, we fought against Ajay Bruno and a bunch of Serbs trying to PTO the country to ruin it. Look around. We have no allies, no friends, no respect, no alliance, loads of enemies, we're occupied by at least seven different countries (I stopped counting at seven) and we seem hell bent on making things even worse. We have PTOed ourselves.

Here's a picture of an ass, since the Pakleds won't get the double-entendre behind "rump."
