Hello, dear people of eBelgium.

I am writing today about my journey to eRepublik. I started playing eRepublik on 8th October 2020. I was invited to come play this game by a family member. I joined my first political party HOPE on the same day I started this journey. Thanks to my comrades who, if I remember correctly were Genesis X, Marko Klis, Arriaes, OKayOK and Vincent Pain (at the time Killah Bee). Through a heart of charity, my HOPE comrades helped me get started. At the time I was under the Military Unit (MU) Belgian National Army, then shortly after that I joined Saligia the day after I got my first Congress Member (CM) medal.

On 10 November 2020 I switched my party from HOPE to ATO to see what they were doing about the party growing the country. I saw there was little to no activity in the party. I then tried to steal a CM medal from them but failed! 17 days after being in ATO I left to go back to HOPE.

My username was Joshnosh at the time.


The Impeachment.
On 12th December 2020; Curly Bear proposed an impeachment law against the current country president (CP) Director 9 (D9).

There was no info about the impeachment against D9, but all that ATOsaid was that D9 was the “Zodiac killer”. HOPE and The Belgium Dream (TBD), did not know if we should vote yes or no and spent hours trying to work this out. And to this day all ATO told eBelgium about the impeachment was they wanted to see what we will do.

So the Party President for HOPE OKayOK told the Congress Members of HOPE to vote on what they want. The next day the law went through and Gen X came into power.

Part of HOPE's policy is to bring the country together so when D9 left office we were respectful and we congratulated him on 4 years in office.

The last month of Hope
5th January 2021 was the day of the CP election and HOPE won the election by 1 vote making OKayOK the CP. This happened to be my first time I ever got a government position as the Minister of Education (MoE), working under my mentor VP AKA Vincent Pain who was the Prime Minister. At this time my username was hallo10 and my MU was Red Squadron.

We were in power for about 2 weeks. We were running and making programs like the Ambassador Programs done by the Minister of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Caribo and the Minister of Defence (MoD) Babis Tisg working on the Air Supply program and me running the eLotto, the Belgium House program, and the Belgium Food Supply.


The coup.

Then after waking up on the day 24th Jan 2021 I saw I had many messages from my comrades from HOPE saying Saliga had committed a Coup.

We spent all day fighting and getting support from other countries but Red Squadron lost and the country went under a Dictatorship under D9 then shortly after switching to Curly
Bear.

After this non Demecratic move, eBelgium fell apart and people left for other countries. We tried to open up negotiations with them but they never bothered to reply. It has become clear all they want is for only Curly and his comrades to stay in eBE.

I believe what eBelgium needs is an honest conversation about what happened, and how we can fix the situation that we are in. I hope that all of you can find it in yourselves to be honest about the current state of affairs in eBelgium..
