Iran loses internet access, but gains in eRep traffic.

Iran cuts internet access.

Iran's percentage of eRep traffic increases, from 16.2% 10 days ago.

With about 1.5% of eRep's active accounts, they manage to hog up almost 17% of its internet traffic -- an impressive accomplishment under the best of circumstances, but downright astonishing when you consider the government has shut down internet access in the country's largest, most wired city. Let's hope our friends in Iran quickly see their internet access restored to normal, both because censorship sucks (ahem), and because I'd like to see how high they can drive their numbers when they aren't having their access to the internet restricted. 20%? 30%? More? Why not. This is the New World, and all things are possible.

As an aside, I would hope people exercize some restraint in making any comments. Our friends the admins here have been a little bit, umm, shall we say, aggressive, in monitoring and punishing comments they aren't too happy with. Let's go out of our way to make their job easier, so they can spend time on the important things -- like explaining why so much of their traffic comes from Iran, even when much of Iran has been blocked from the internet.
