Interview with CP of Cuba

Day 3,186, 09:54 Published in Cuba Belarus by kolluchiy

Hello everyone! I wanted to publish first article in eCuba press with interesting interview. I guess it is time to present it. New President of Cuba, dSG of Orion, one and only – Janty F!

Hello Janty, first of all I want to thank you for taking time to answer my questions. Tell us, who is Janty in real life?

Janty in real life is a Czech student, trying his best to not get kicked out of Czech Technical University in Prague (who would have thought studying nuclear physics would be hard 😃 ). He is a nice person (in terms of character, not visage though 😃 ), with a sense of duty and responsibility (otherwise he wouldn't play the political module in this game). I'm starting to realize this sounds like some advertisement for dating service, so I should probably add that I'm single too... ladies 😃 . Oh, and apparently, I also like to use emojis a lot when trying to be funny, so I apologize to all readers of this interview in advance.

What do you think about eCuban community?

It is a rare sight in this game to see such an active community as eCuban one. Our country usually has the biggest percentage of actively voting citizens (more than 50😵, our media are always filled with various news (usually both pro-government and anti-government at the same time 😃 ), we have an active IRC - truly, the community on this island is a miracle. If you are not afraid of Spanish language and you want to see some activity in this game, come and visit us for a few months. It is truly a unique experience.

Congress of eCuba divided to 2 coalitions. Is it hard to make decisions in Congress?

On one hand, this strict political partition helps to make the game for eCuban citizens always interesting, but you are right - getting things done in eCuba is not a simple task and it often reminds RL a lot. People like to do obstructions, they argue with each other about personal stuff instead of proposals, they like to remind all the failures other people did in their history - sometimes it's just a mess. But in the end, we are always able to get to the voting and make some decisions, so it's not that bad. It just takes a while to get used to 😉

What platform for communicating with players do you use? Skype, telegram, IRC, something else?

Until I arrived to eCuba, I haven't used any of these other communicating platforms, because it just wasn't needed and I always found it annoying for me. But since I have arrived, I have started using all the three you mentioned for various alliance or government meetings. You know, it is always great to have some other outgame communication platform. I realized that if this game really ends one day, I will at least have some ways how to contact my eRep friends. There is also one other app I tried to use (Whatsapp), but since my phone is really old and I usually don't have internet connection, I couldn't use it properly.

What is the first impression of being President?

I was a president before, but I have forgotten how much "work" you actually need to do in the first days - send congratulations to your allies and friends, make a lot of mass PMs for ministers, make another Congress thread, giving interviews 😛 - so right now, I feel more like a guy working in the post office instead of a President 😃 .

A few words about Orion. What do you think about organization of that alliance? Are there any funny moments of new history of Orion?

Actually, I was positively surprised, how well is Orion working - we are well informed about what other countries do, we have regular meetings and conversations, we are helping each other in battles a lot - I think Orion really has a bright future on horizon and I'm happy we can be part of it. As for the funny moments - I'm there for only one month, so I will probably have to wait a little bit more before I find some funny gem worthy of sharing. We are all veeeeeeeery serious fellows 😃 😃 .

Which country would you like to see as part of the alliance?

That's a hard question - Orion is quite popular this season, so if I write the name of some country, I can almost guarantee that country will try to join us in the next few months 😃 . But people around me know that I'm quite pro-Swiss during th last couple of months, so I think Switzerland would be an interesting addition.

Many players develop real life friendships to playing this game and chatting on skype/mibbit etc. Who is the player you would most like to meet and drink a beer?

Do I have to pick only one? Well, I already promised some of the people to have a potatoe rum with them one day, so - Blackbeard00 and Nikola Tesla would be my picks. I'm sure they would both deserve to drink not only Czech potatoe rum, but some nice Czech beer too 🙂 .

Who is the player you hate the most?

I'm not playing this game to make enemies or hate people, so to be honest - it is probably me. Sometimes, especially when I'm not in the good mood, when I do some really stupid mistake ingame, or when people start criticizing me for no reason, I feel like my own worst enemy and I hate myself for that. But thankfully, it doesn't happen very often 🙂

Tell us a story about the best time you had in this game.

Heheee... that's a good question. Just a few weeks ago, I had an amazing time, getting my beautiful silver «1st citizen in eCuba to achieve the rank of Airman 1st Class» decoration. I really needed to go to school (or was it pub? - one of those 😃 ), but people in MEK chat were saying that the first aerial battle ever will start soon. So I waited, spammed the Fight button, and despite two other Cubans chasing me, I was the one who got the decoration! I know it is just a "stupid" meaningless decoration, but since I'm a player with generally weak account, it just made me happy that I can still be number 1 in something.

And final quiz:

Slavia or Sparta?

Before I answer, let me give you a small story. I was never a football fan and watching football in television was just - boring. But one of my few remaining classmates is a big Slavia fan, and since I talk with him a lot, I decided "Hey, let's try to be Slavia fan too". So few weeks ago, I visited my first match ever (in European league against Tallinn) - and HOLY F**K, it was such a GREAT TIME!!! The atmosphere on the stadium was so thrilling... all that chanting and choreography... sometimes, I realized, I'm not even watching the match anymore, since I'm so focused at chanting and supporting my team 😃 . And I can't wait to see the next match against Anderlecht - it will be even better!! So, I pick Slavia.

Blondes or brunettes?

Blondes 🙂

Beer or vodka?

If I want to get drunk, vodka, if I want to just have a good time, beer.

Dictatorship or democracy?

In eCuba, the answer is simple - democracy.

Thank you, Janty, and good luck! Don’t forget to vote and share of that article.
