Haikus In the Twilight Hours

Greetings to my friends and enemies. I'm Elaine, and I want to read your poetry. I want to encourage self-expression, and I'm willing to give an extremely paltry reward (two gold) to whatever haiku I like the most. Consider the time limit 24 hours... ish. Sometime Saturday morning. But I'll comment on the haiku so you know the prize has been given out. That being said, this isn't a contest per se. The reward is just to make it not feel like a waste of time for you efficiency buffs out there! I just want to read some fresh haikus. Anyway, I'll start us off:

Update: A kind, anonymous donor has offered to send me 5000 Q5 food to add to the prize pool. I'll do my best to spread the love among the poets down below! I'll try to give something to every haiku 🙂

Update 2: An additional anonymous patron of the arts has provided me with enough support to make sure every comment gets some food, so don't be shy with those haikus!
