Hi Kids!

This isn't the type of thing I really want to write about. eRep is supposed to be an indulgence to allow us to escape everyday life. However, the storm hit very close to home. I live about 150 miles northeast.

Joplin is pretty much toast. I'm sure everyone has seen the story on national/international news. Thought you might like to read some local stuff so I added link to a local paper, Springfield MO TV, and G-Map from where I live to put it in perspective.

Oddly enough, the storm had no real impact on my area, it wasn't even a severe thunderstorm. Just a little wind and some rain. I understand when it passed my area it started up again and did more damage. I feel blessed.

I know Alabama and other places have been hit too. It just seems like everyones getting flooded or having their town destroyed lately. :~(

My Grandmother whom im going to visit later this summer lives about 20 miles out of joplin! Im just hoping there will be no twisters there anytime soon...
