D9: What Next?

Day 4,453, 05:51 Published in USA USA by Jacob Ferguson

This content has so far been driven by my learning of new things in Erepublik, but as I move forward, it's probably going to turn into more of a journal of my experiences than purely new player information, so I will be changing my category to reflect that.

The last few days, I've been evaluating parties, and the people within them, and their appearance, and I've found some things that I really prefer in a smaller party. The people in a smaller party generally don't join them just because they're big (obviously). They aren't there just because their MU is all part of it. They're there because they have a different view of what the political system should be and how they should operate.

I think that a President, and by extension a presidential candidate, should be well-spoken and have good grammar. In addition, they should not be too much of a firebrand, especially when the country is in a good position to grow through its alliances. For those reasons, I am going to be joining E Pluribus Unum, led by a supportive leader, and the President I remember from my original days in Erepublik, PigInZen.

With that said, I have no ill will against any people for their political party affiliations. I judge each person by their actions and their presentation and realize that a given party may not represent its members fully. I still consider everyone my friend until they prove to me they do not deserve my friendship.

As we continue toward the Presidential elections in February, I hope to see several more well-put-together candidates to choose from. Tell us what you intend to do. Tell us your plans and how you intend to accomplish them, and who you'd like to work with to get it done.

I get this is just a game, but it's a game that is based on real things. I intend to hold congressional and political candidates to very similar standards as real politicians, though obviously not as important in the long run. Have something to say! Don't just do it to do it. Understand your role in the eUSA when you enter into this responsibility.

Thanks to everyone who contributed your thoughts about picking parties. I made my decision my own, and picked the choice I felt comfortable with, and I hope to learn and grow more and more as the days, months, and hopefully years to come. And as always, if you have advice or tips, or even just feedback, for a new/returning player, leave them below in the comments. And if you enjoyed this article, please subscribe.
