i am just curious... am i the only one who thinks its messed up that a person can get into congress without even having ONE single vote and be a shoe in at that, while a person with 8 votes gets by on a wildcard and a person with 6 votes does not even make it into office (this is no attack on the two people who made it to congress with 0 votes) but i think the way that works is pretty messed up lol

it is eBuglik, 2 dudes from Haifa were "elected" & we got 37 KM insted of 40.
It's the regional system... happens in RL all the time. At least we have a regional list system in erepublik. In RL UK (where I come from) - we have a system called 'first-past-the-post' that means candidates compete for a single congress (Parliament) seat. The leading candidate wins - so maybe the leading candidate gets 30% of the vote... so actually 70% of the people didn't vote for the candidate that wins....
This calls for parties in Israel to get much smarter about their electoral tactics.

There was a bug yesterday, all 4 candidates in haifa were on the bill when Haifa was still under turkish control, then remained on the ballot when it was taken back.
These things happen in eRep. Roll with it.
