{CPF} We will always be most grateful!

Day 1,951, 06:48 Published in Canada Canada by Dozzer_x

Salutations and greetings!

Almost a week has passed and Canada has seen no article on behalf of the Canadian Progressive Front. But don't even imagine that we do nothing, because all this time we've used our most-dear Moose Calls to discuss party policies, future of Canada and the Congress election

So, as you've probably imagined already, this article will be a short presentation of my activity as party president for the last week and the party ticket of the Canadian Progressive Front for the March congress election

First of all, the CPF wishes to thank to all the Canadian people, the Canadian Executive and our most faithful allies for helping Canada liberate from the Spanish rule and have a Congress.

The Executive in these days has greatly worked to ensure we win every single battle and get Spain out of the True North. They deserve our most sincere appreciation for their work, time and money spent on this game.

There are a lot of people, military units and nations that have helped us selflessly, only wishing to see our nation free and with a Congress. Were they not to be so, I wouldn't have written this article today.

We will always be most grateful for your help, and Canada and the CPF will support you in times of need as well!

In the last week, as the census period ended, I've organised a new kind of Moose Calls as promised. As a note, since the census officially ended, I've still let it open for responses, and thankfully, my prediction was right: the census turnout raised to 36,24%, which is an almost 5% increase.. I'm personally very satisfied with this census, especially because it was never tried before and the reaction of the active party membership to it was positive. I would have expected a lower than 25% turnout, thinking that a lot of the party members are not in the mood to spend their time completing a quite big survey.

This census helped me greatly because I've got to know the views and opinions of the active party members, something that is of uttermost importance to my future activity in what remains from my term as President. I'm sure that were I to rule this party without organising the so much needed census and only using opinions from Moose Calls, I would have ruled in ignorance.

I am most grateful to all people who took part in the census, and I reiterate that their involvement will not be ignored!

The new Moose Calls that probably everyone in the CPF knows about were organised on a fairly new system: everyone who took part in the census has been added to 2 Moose Calls instead of a single one. I have the hope that this will make the active members become even more active and involved by taking part in the discussion in Moose Calls. I've also tried to prop up the activity in these Calls by getting myself involved in every discussion that appeared. In the future, I do really hope that more members will have a say in these Moose Calls, because that's their reason for existing.

And as we're at this topic, in the last article I've been asked by a MDP member why do we consider ourselves to be eCanada's premier party. I'll just give a quote from Funky that basically explains why we are so:

"The CPF remains eCanada's premier party, not just in general terms like being eCanada's oldest party or for always having a community of intelligent, open-minded, determined and generous players or for being eCanada’s most successful party but also for providing the best in game communication, a united front that still manages to encourage diversity of opinion and a tradition of democracy and merit."

Nevertheless, in the last days the external image of the premier party of eCanada has also been refreshe😛 I have kept permanent channels of communication with the party presidents of the other parties (apart from the Sons of Anarchy, but it's not like I have a reason to ignore them, merely they seem to be uncontactable) and I've also promoted our party in shouts and on IRC. It is time to show them all that we'll always be the premier party, regardless of how much they try to get up here. 😛

Another issue is that of party titles. As I've said at the start of my term, I will give people party positions based on their activity and involvement inside the CPF. I've already formed myself an opinion, and the party titles will be given exactly 10 days after my term started, on the 26th of March at 06:00 eRep time.

Last but not least, it's time for the premier party to present its Congress ticket

The CPF still stands firm as ever to our tenets and if entrusted with your vote will continue to represent Canada honorably and stand up for accountability and responsibility in government. All CPF congressmen will be organized into a congressional caucus to better organize ourselves and foster communication while respecting the supremacy of the game mechanics. A vote for the CPF will be a vote to keep the True North strong and free!

I have made the Congress selection quite clear to everyone, and I've strongly based the Congress list on the following requirements:
a) responding to the four questions for Congress;
b) activity and determination within the party;
c) demonstration to faithfully uphold the Tenets.

As we'll only have 20 members in this Congress, I've also chosen people that I expect to be very active inside the game and on the forums, to firmly represent our party in the proceedings of the Legislative! The four questions that our congress candidates responded to are simple as that:
1. What do you think of the CPF?
2. What would you like to do in Congress besides being active?
3. Who are you and what have you done in eRepublik?

Based on the responses to it and the activity of these members, here's the greatest choice for Canada's congress for this month:
1. Exalted Druid
- a very experienced member of the CPF, with past Congress experience;
- active member, involved within the party;
2. Isaac Rose
- a quite new person, no Congress experience before;
- active inside the party, has some interesting ideas;
3. Lelouch VI Britannia
- former Congress member
- quite involved inside the party
4. Churchill93
- a quite new person with great ideas;
- active inside the party, firmly defend the Tenets
5. Funky 24
- former party president of the CPF;
- actively works on party tutorials;
6. Dozzer_x
- party president of the CPF;
7. Auk Rest
- former party president of the CPF;
- involved inside the party, he has been of great help in giving advice on the party;
8. Genyng Kislev
- an experienced former Congress member;
- has interesting ideas and wishes to defend the Tenets;
9. Jaffle
- an experienced former Congress member;
- has been of great help inside the party, giving advice and being involved;

As you have observed, we have a lot of members with no Congress experience put high on the party ticket: it is my goal to promote new politicians to the high politics of our country, because our party never ceases to have promising politicians every month.

We've been the party to always uphold its values and promote what's right for Canada. We've always been there to get Canada on her feet in times when it had problems. And we can do it again.

45% of the Congress for keeping the True North strong and free!

The CPF is a party that welcomes all who care about a responsible, accountable and positive government to our halls. There are many opportunities available for newer players, so please, consider joining us!

Seven Tenets of the Canadian Progressive Front:
1. Uphold the equality of all active Military Units
2. Make the accounting of government funding more open and important
3. Ensure Canada is a reliable and selfless ally
4. To respect, recognize and uphold the supremacy of the mechanics of the game
5. Develop a positive political sphere
6. Bring in Canadians to eRepublik
7. To encourage growth and stability to the eCanadian economy
