{CPF} We will always be most grateful!

Salutations and greetings!
Almost a week has passed and Canada has seen no article on behalf of the Canadian Progressive Front. But don't even imagine that we do nothing, because all this time we've used our most-dear Moose Calls to discuss party policies, future of Canada and the Congress election
So, as you've probably imagined already, this article will be a short presentation of my activity as party president for the last week and the party ticket of the Canadian Progressive Front for the March congress election
First of all, the CPF wishes to thank to all the Canadian people, the Canadian Executive and our most faithful allies for helping Canada liberate from the Spanish rule and have a Congress.
The Executive in these days has greatly worked to ensure we win every single battle and get Spain out of the True North. They deserve our most sincere appreciation for their work, time and money spent on this game.
There are a lot of people, military units and nations that have helped us selflessly, only wishing to see our nation free and with a Congress. Were they not to be so, I wouldn't have written this article today.
We will always be most grateful for your help, and Canada and the CPF will support you in times of need as well!
In the last week, as the census period ended, I've organised a new kind of Moose Calls as promised. As a note, since the census officially ended, I've still let it open for responses, and thankfully, my prediction was right: the census turnout raised to 36,24%, which is an almost 5% increase.. I'm personally very satisfied with this census, especially because it was never tried before and the reaction of the active party membership to it was positive. I would have expected a lower than 25% turnout, thinking that a lot of the party members are not in the mood to spend their time completing a quite big survey.
This census helped me greatly because I've got to know the views and opinions of the active party members, something that is of uttermost importance to my future activity in what remains from my term as President. I'm sure that were I to rule this party without organising the so much needed census and only using opinions from Moose Calls, I would have ruled in ignorance.
I am most grateful to all people who took part in the census, and I reiterate that their involvement will not be ignored!
The new Moose Calls that probably everyone in the CPF knows about were organised on a fairly new system: everyone who took part in the census has been added to 2 Moose Calls instead of a single one. I have the hope that this will make the active members become even more active and involved by taking part in the discussion in Moose Calls. I've also tried to prop up the activity in these Calls by getting myself involved in every discussion that appeared. In the future, I do really hope that more members will have a say in these Moose Calls, because that's their reason for existing.
And as we're at this topic, in the last article I've been asked by a MDP member why do we consider ourselves to be eCanada's premier party. I'll just give a quote from Funky that basically explains why we are so:
"The CPF remains eCanada's premier party, not just in general terms like being eCanada's oldest party or for always having a community of intelligent, open-minded, determined and generous players or for being eCanada’s most successful party but also for providing the best in game communication, a united front that still manages to encourage diversity of opinion and a tradition of democracy and merit."
Nevertheless, in the last days the external image of the premier party of eCanada has also been refreshe
😛I have kept permanent channels of communication with the party presidents of the other parties (apart from the Sons of Anarchy, but it's not like I have a reason to ignore them, merely they seem to be uncontactable) and I've also promoted our party in shouts and on IRC. It is time to show them all that we'll always be the premier party, regardless of how much they try to get up here.
😛
Another issue is that of party titles. As I've said at the start of my term, I will give people party positions based on their activity and involvement inside the CPF. I've already formed myself an opinion, and the party titles will be given exactly 10 days after my term started, on the 26th of March at 06:00 eRep time.
Last but not least, it's time for the premier party to present its Congress ticket
The CPF still stands firm as ever to our tenets and if entrusted with your vote will continue to represent Canada honorably and stand up for accountability and responsibility in government. All CPF congressmen will be organized into a congressional caucus to better organize ourselves and foster communication while respecting the supremacy of the game mechanics. A vote for the CPF will be a vote to keep the True North strong and free!
I have made the Congress selection quite clear to everyone, and I've strongly based the Congress list on the following requirements:
a) responding to the four questions for Congress;
b) activity and determination within the party;
c) demonstration to faithfully uphold the Tenets.
As we'll only have 20 members in this Congress, I've also chosen people that I expect to be very active inside the game and on the forums, to firmly represent our party in the proceedings of the Legislative! The four questions that our congress candidates responded to are simple as that:
1. What do you think of the CPF?
2. What would you like to do in Congress besides being active?
3. Who are you and what have you done in eRepublik?
Based on the responses to it and the activity of these members, here's the greatest choice for Canada's congress for this month:
1. Exalted Druid
- a very experienced member of the CPF, with past Congress experience;
- active member, involved within the party;
2. Isaac Rose
- a quite new person, no Congress experience before;
- active inside the party, has some interesting ideas;
3. Lelouch VI Britannia
- former Congress member
- quite involved inside the party
4. Churchill93
- a quite new person with great ideas;
- active inside the party, firmly defend the Tenets
5. Funky 24
- former party president of the CPF;
- actively works on party tutorials;
6. Dozzer_x
- party president of the CPF;
7. Auk Rest
- former party president of the CPF;
- involved inside the party, he has been of great help in giving advice on the party;
8. Genyng Kislev
- an experienced former Congress member;
- has interesting ideas and wishes to defend the Tenets;
9. Jaffle
- an experienced former Congress member;
- has been of great help inside the party, giving advice and being involved;
As you have observed, we have a lot of members with no Congress experience put high on the party ticket: it is my goal to promote new politicians to the high politics of our country, because our party never ceases to have promising politicians every month.
We've been the party to always uphold its values and promote what's right for Canada. We've always been there to get Canada on her feet in times when it had problems. And we can do it again.
45% of the Congress for keeping the True North strong and free!
The CPF is a party that welcomes all who care about a responsible, accountable and positive government to our halls. There are many opportunities available for newer players, so please, consider joining us!
Seven Tenets of the Canadian Progressive Front:
1. Uphold the equality of all active Military Units
2. Make the accounting of government funding more open and important
3. Ensure Canada is a reliable and selfless ally
4. To respect, recognize and uphold the supremacy of the mechanics of the game
5. Develop a positive political sphere
6. Bring in Canadians to eRepublik
7. To encourage growth and stability to the eCanadian economy

"First of all, the CPF wishes to thank to all the Canadian people, the Canadian nation and our most faithful allies for helping Canada liberate from the Spanish rule and have a Congress"
Again, premature confidence. We are not guaranteed a congress yet. Although a win in Manitoba will all but clinch it, and eCan is winning, the fact remains eCan has not won yet.
I am disappointed that a member of the CPF, a party that believes in the supremacy of game mechanics, would be campaigning for congress while there is a critical war underway and congress is not secure.
An IPC member is also campaigning:
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/freedom-and-congress--2232950/1/20
I see that MDP is "campaigning" on the battlefield, with battle hero after battle hero. Four of the top five damage totals in Manitoba have been posted by MDP members.
If eCan has a congress this month, there will be a lot of people to thank, and two of those thank-yous should go to Homer for his leadership as CP and MDP's damage in support of Homer.
I only bring up MDP at this time because they aren't making time now to campaign for congress, they are making time to FIGHT for a congress.
Your accusations are completely without basis: first of all, the CPF is not campaigning for Congress at the moment, I've merely written an article to present the candidates on behalf of the CPF and my activity as President.
If you care to observe, the Congress part takes less than a half of all the article.
Secondly, while indeed there are not many CPF members to get BHs and put a lot of damage in Manitoba, we are doing something else to help Canada.
As a MoFA and member of the Executive, I've always been on #eCan.supply and helped with the supply, while as MoFA I've talked to people from Romania, Croatia, China and other countries to help us in this battle. If you think that we are not fighting for Congress you are COMPLETELY wrong.
Again, even if we haven't won the battle yet, going EXACTLY by the game mechanics, as you claim, we already have a 20-members Congress.
My point is that the CPF does not campaign for Congress, it merely presents the candidates for this month, something that should be definitely done. At the same time, the CPF is ALSO helping CANADA IN THE WAR. Yes, we can do both.
We in the CPF do not have the money and the credit cards the others have to invest in this game and put a lot of influence, but we surely have the determination to help Canada by any other mean. AND WE DO.
Now, if you'd only stop with these uncalled for accusations, let's all go back to ensuring we get Manitoba, shall we?
"...first of all, the CPF is not campaigning for Congress at the moment, I've merely written an article to present the candidates on behalf of the CPF and my activity as President..."
You've released a ballot priority list, seems like campaigning to me.
"..while indeed there are not many CPF members to get BHs and put a lot of damage in Manitoba, we are doing something else to help Canada."
I apologize for not mentioning the effort that the CPF put forth in this battle, that was weak on my part. My point was that one party was prominent on the congress campaign front while another was prominent on the battle front and the priority is to secure the campaign front. It is also ironic that mechanics suggest securing congress and mechanics are a platform of the party who is campaigning.
"...going EXACTLY by the game mechanics, as you claim, we already have a 20-members Congress."
No, we aren't. Until we win Manitoba, which would guarantee another 60 hours before a complete wipe, we are not assured a congress. We lose Manitoba and eSpain could wipe us in 24 hours and we would not have a 20 member congress.
"My point is that the CPF does not campaign for Congress, it merely presents the candidates for this month, something that should be definitely done."
IMO, it would have been more "tasteful" to release this article after the battle of Manitoba.
Just to point out, there are more tanks in MDP than in CPF, way more... Just because we don't get the BHs does not mean we are not fighting.
[removed]
Addy... by your answer you just demonstrate how low your intel are weak... just because you get a BH doesn't mean you fought well... I didn't get any BH neither did I made much damage in Canada... but made it somewhere else for the sakes of the battle...
You are correct, I am generalizing. The point I was trying to make is priorities and I dismissed a lot of valuable damage from non-tanks who are truly doing their best. For that, I apologize.
I made a post in the CPF thread offering free Q7's for our RW effort. Shortly after an old sour puss of a member makes a post stating we should smarten up, be realistic and face the fact Spain is to big for us. I am sure you know who the old sour puss is, but thats a glimpse of the attitude here.
That old sour puss should go funk himself. : p

Shut your mouth.
The "MDP" did not fight for eCanada. That is a lie and shows ignorance for game mechanics. Military Units and individuals do the fighting. If the MDP continues to shun campaigning like they have so far done, I won't hesitate to shame them until they stop being like another EPIC and stop being apolitical.
I'm confident that members of MDP fought for eCanada.
Now that that congress is secured, I wouldn't be surprised to see MDP members make time to campaign.
shiite that was neat
and CW just sits in the background and watch.... and ofc fight for ecan 😁

Priorities of a political party are and will always be politically based, whereas a military unit (ready yourself for a shout out...CoI o7 ) is more geared towards the battle. A political party planning and focusing on the political portion of the potential liberation--planning for congress, is exactly what should be happening...Or should everything be done last minute and without thought? In my eyes both are important focuses. Ignoring the process of selecting the best candidates for congress, when the talk is all about fighting to get a congress, seems silly. When (optimistically) we have a congress should we just throw on anyone who wants to be on it, or should we make a well informed decision and choose those who will help to continue Canada's restoration to a well respected eNation...Lastly, most are capable of both campaigning and inflicting some damage on the battlefield where every hit counts...which is where I'm heading back to now...
I don't disagree, parties are primarily political and MU's are primarily military; the fact remains that neither is absolute. War is an act of politics, in-game and in RL, and you can't separate them completely. No battle is launched in game without a political mandate. Military might provides politicians leverage in negotiations. They need each other and are nothing without the other.
I don't have any issues with politically planning prior to securing a congress, I do have an issue with campaigning openly about it when congress hasn't been secured. It is like the Leafs talking about their playoff plans when they haven't clinched yet.
I don't object to placing some focus and planning political activity PRIOR to securing the congress, just keep it in your privy chamber till the time is right.
I guess then our differing opinions relate to the timing then. You see, I think that as long as you are still fighting in the war, what you do with your free time is your business whether it be campaigning, playing Minecraft (or whatever), or even knitting yourself a fresh new hair sweater...let's face it, there's plenty of time for all these things...then again I'd chew gum at church...It could be that you feel we are being presumptuous that there will be a congress, let's instead call it unbridled enthusiasm and an over abundance of optimism 🙂
Can you walk and chew gum at the same time Addy? I can use up all my health and some bars in the 5 minute booster time limit. Leaves a lot of time to chew gum .
I can walk and chew gum at the time, a better question is do I know when it is appropriate to do both. I don't chew gum when I'm walking in the halls of the office nor when I'm in my church, it's not appropriate to do both at the same time in those instances.
I believe that the Juicy Fruit could have waited until mass had ended and CPF was in the parking lot, getting into their car.
You are being bizarre. Who is offended that Dozzer has released a campaign article with a Congress in doubt? Why would they be offended? Why can't we fight while our PP campaigns? Why are parties measured by how much damage their 'members' put out now?
You are getting close to implying a moratorium on politik during war time. This isn't a dictatorship, this is a republik where citizens may dissiminate ideas, promulugate beliefs and seek power whenever they please, within the law. Saying otherwise is not appropriate.
o7
I think eCanadians of all parties are putting their all into the war efforts. We've had a lot of assistance from our friends and allies as well. I'm disappointed by Addys cheap, partisan attack during this time of war...
Thanks for reading and commenting.
Solid candidate choices!!
boot out #7
o7 Looking forward to working with Congress to secure Canadian peace and prosperity in the coming weeks.
Hater's going to hate on CPF
We're still the premier party of Canada, not matter how much they want to make us look bad. : p
