{CPF} In the end, there is always progress.

Day 1,965, 06:54 Published in Canada Canada by Dozzer_x

Salutations and greetings!

In the last week, our party has overseen the presidential election and everything else related to it. So, in our party, presidential primaries have been organised, then we had Cabinet talks and the election. We have all seen the results and the CPF hopes for another month of great achievements.

As you may know, between the 31th of March and the 2nd of April we had a presidential primary in the Canadian Progressive Front. As the CPF nominated Homer J Simpson for the election, it is obvious that he won, but there are some details that the CPF has failed to publish in press until now, and they were only published to the internal party communication services, so I find it necessary to publish it publicly as well.

First of all, these are the results of the primary that took place:
1. Homer J Simpson - 75 electoral points
2. Yano Chichelin - 52 electoral points
3. Punisher 1389 - 42 electoral points
4. aeriala - 20 electoral points

After these results, it was obvious Homer J Simpson was going to get our nomination.

After that, we had election. But meanwhile, Homer's new Cabinet had to be done. In this new Cabinet, the CPF's representation raised from 2 to 3, more specifically, we got the following representatives:

Dozzer_x - Minister of Foreign Affairs
klop123 - Deputy Minister of Defence
Bryan Alexander - Minister of Finance

I can guarantee that klop and Bryan are some great people and they'll do their best to contribute to the government, putting of course the Seven Tenets of our party before anything else. As you also see, Michael 23 retired from the Cabinet this month. It was very unfortunate to me when I heard this, and I wish him best of luck in his future activities, he has always been a great member of the CPF, and this is why I'll grant him the honorary title of Spokesman for the remainder of my term.

At the end of the day, I do realise that I have failed to respect one of my campaign promises: having a CPF member to candidate for the CPF this month. But I do not regret choosing Homer as CPF's nominee: he has been a great President last month, and his actions and results of them are more important than anything else. His Cabinet has also demonstrated how committed they are to keeping the true North strong and free. I have no regret for this month that I haven't selected a CPF member to be our candidate for the April election. I do hope, though, that who will lead the party next month will have a bigger success than I had into fulfilling this goal.

Some have criticised me lately for my activity within the CPF. But these last three weeks when I was the Party President weren't bad at all: I've taken the CPF from my predecessor with 158 "on paper" members, and now it has 152. But at the same time, I can feel that the activity within the CPF has risen, and I'm sure that the members feel they have more say in the proceedings of the CPF that they had before. Nobody hesitated to criticise me, and that's a good thing, because I like criticism. I have never tried to shut the mouth of those that criticised me, and I will never do it.

At the Congress elections, I've kept some of our old members with experience, and I've added new ones. This was a balance between the old and the new members. Unlike other party presidents of the CPF, I have never promised to completely replace the CPF Congress caucus, for I find it a silly thing to do, as we need both new Congressmen and Congressmen with experience.

In regards to the party tenets, I have always defended them and the principles behind them, both in Congress and in the Executive which I was a part of. Our party caucus will always, and is in this moment defending the tenets inside the Congress forums, where debates on different things are taking place.

But the two biggest things that I have done, I consider to be the party census and the new primary system. They have been of great use to our party, for they have increased the level of democratic involvement within the party, and I hope that my successors in the next months will not abandon these two things.

I've also kept ties with the other parties, by making a PM group with the presidents of the other top 5 parties, and by keeping closer ties on the IRC with the leaders of the MDP and CW. I'm always there on IRC if one wants to look for me and talk to me.

All in all, this month has been an interesting one for me and has definitely been a new experience in my eRepublik political career. In the last week of my term, we in the CPF will prepare for party presidential election, and I will also do some things in my endless struggle to get more CPF members involved.

See you next week.
