I use it very occasionally, mostly for gaming. I definitley prefer Telegram or another format for just chatting.

I belong to about a dozen different Discord communities covering various topics. It's basically a more centralized and feature-rich IRC client.

I hate telegram but it is what it is

I like discord alright but it is very channel dependent. The Swiss channel sometimes leaves something to be desired in terms of activity, but also, is what it is, most channels are pretty dead these days
