Been many years since upgrades were more than 30%. I think I remember it being 40% maybe 5+ years ago. Too hard to remember, after awhile all the years just mash together.

The best ones were 50% off. You could freely upgrade and downgrade any company with no loss, allowing you to work in all your food and weapons companies at max quality (5, back then), which was huge back then.
