Today, I am not so p/h. I hope I can be proven wrong for my doubts.
Nohime
Well, today is the first day I have a heavy heart as a Fed. Usually I can be an angry Fed ready to defend a Fed in a heartbeat with piss and vinegar, until the last word I type is emblazoned on this screen, spewing my convictions and passions to those whoever decided to f*** with a friend of mine. But today I am just...sad.
Over the past year I have been a Fed, and I believed I had emulated the very best qualities of being a Federalist. I’m very proud to say that too. Today I wonder if I did something wrong; to see a person I believed was ready to lead the Feds. A man who would take the reigns of the party and bring the Dio fearing rains of Hamiltons and Deschanels from the skies onto this scorched earth of mediocrity, while preparing to bloom us into a new Spring of P/H. But it didn’t come to fruition.
There is a little blurb that I’ve held in my p/h genes too that I would like to share again:
The Federalist Party is different from others because it has always had the goal of recruiting new active players and helping them rise through the ranks so we intentionally have continuous turnover. Having the same people running everything for months and years just simply doesn’t provide the party or the country with anything useful. Having a large base of people you can look to is far more productive and honestly makes people happier. Now with that said if you don’t want to rise past a certain point we won’t pressure you to but we will still ask you on occasion in case things change. Never fear talking to anyone in our party leadership as we are always willing to help those both old and new alike.
I am not so p/h today. Federalist ideals have eroded into complacent leadership instead of grooming new leadership to try and lead the party. nickbergman lost the PP primary. Boo hoo, right? Someone call the wambulance, right? Truthfully, whatever some people might think, I believe the Feds have taken many steps backwards. There are some questionable and implicating reasons why I should be totally irate after the past few days of the primary, but it honestly just makes me incredibly disappointed. nickbergman or not, the values of being a Federalist were not held today or over the past couple months. New blood was not given the chance to lead the party after doing a p/henomenal job leading SHIELD. The MU has grown tremendously, and been rife with activity since December 2014 and that’s all because of nick’s leadership and the staff beneath him.
How did he not win today? We can speculate forever and throw people under the bus and travel further down the rabbit hole of BS, but its seriously not worth the time. A true Fed lost the primary today to incumbent PPs, twice, by a tie breaker and 1 vote each time. The party has moved away from its newb centric ways and despite how much time and effort and p/h that was put into nick’s upbringing, and yes, I’m going to gloat, a lot of my time into his early development, he still lost the primary. I feel like I have failed him and for the first time in a year I’m hesitant to visit the forum tomorrow.
Take this for what its worth, or not, but the Federalist of 2014 is nickbergman. And I hope he will pick himself up after this and still do even better things than we can hope for.
Trekker, I love you, and congratulations. You were my mentor and I owe much to your leadership. I hope the Feds can get out of this funk. If its not nick, then it has to be you. Please make us p/h again and I’m sorry if I contributed any sort of malicious intent or ill will to any of my fed brothers and sisters.
Wooky/out.

I appreciate your empathy. Unfortunate circumstances be what they may.
wow just wow
I'm betting you didn't think anyone sees things this way.
The Feds have become the USWP and the USWP has become the Feds.
I want no part of either.
This. So much this.
Classy as always.
You'd know all about classy wouldn't you Tyler 🙂
Not this. Come on, your understanding of the Feds really is lacking if that's what you think. Perhaps it's due to being in the party for what, 2 months tops?
I'm not saying that to put the Feds on a pedestal, those who know me know I am highly critical, but this is pointless rhetoric devoid of any real reason.
I expect better.
I expected better too you know. It certainly isn't the party that its own rhetoric purports it to be 🙂
Thank you for the congratulations Bromego. And thank you Nick for being a great opponent.
The last time that you were party president, we broke ties with the feds. I'm hoping that we can fix things, the second time around, but we can't bury the hatchet if you won't even answer my letters.
There was one letter only that I did not answer. I felt justified in not replying at the time. An appropriate amount of time has past. If you send me one I would gladly answer. 🙂
I've learned; No matter how good a friend is, they hurt you, from time to time.
Well thank you for messaging me. I am glad we can start a dialogue.
🙁
Wooky speaks the truth.
"There are some questionable and implicating reasons why I should be totally irate" I watched it happen and decided I don't care anymore. I was hoping nick would be given his due, despite things that happened, but when I saw it tied last night...
well...
Trekker is a great guy and I have got to know him very well. I honestly believe he has no idea and wasn't involved in said reasons, and I hope he can fix the issues.
I am with you Wooky... and Nick.
Generally, people are power-hungry in this game (and everywhere). I've been in a few parties, and tbh, they're all the same.
However, I've never been in the Feds, and I always thought that they weren't just another party and instead they were something real, but over the last few months...well, turn it around, guys.
I've always wished you guys the best, and if you feel offended (though I hope you don't, I don't mean it that way; I'm just stating something I've noticed), just remember that to the Feds, I'm nobody and can be fully ignored. ^_~
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I had no idea people thought that.

Oppression breeds resistance
I honestly can't agree with this article. I love all parties involved which makes this hard, and as for the questionable circumstances, I know nothing except that my friends were asked questions due to false ideas of corruption from past manufactured drama that people were possibly attempting to exploit.
Still, while I love Nick, and want him to be PP, nobody is "given a due"
You work for it, and you lose. Some of our best candidate from our golden age have lost to incumbents. Some, twice in a row, some by 1 vote (.summon BigC).
As for questionable voting, that has been tightened and restricted more in the past month than ever before, still I'd love to see evidence because that is worrying and worth working on, but that's really besides the point.
Nobody is given dues, to be a Fed isn't to be given the PP because you're new, and you don't work for the party for the PPship.
If that's your attitude, then you're not in the party for the right reasons.
Many a better man than you, or I, have lost unfairly. Those who care keep on playing.
(also Arrden, there's no fucking oppression, this is a forum party not north korea, good god)
Sorry, but you have a classic clique situation in there right now, and if you're not in the main clique you can't give an honestly held opinion even once without being hung for it with no recourse to appeal. If you don't want to repeat the events of the last week you need to actually take a long hard look and be honest with one another and consider the honestly held opinions of those who are not just in that select little group - you've lost that it seems.
There certainly is some of that, but that's also the negative aspect of describing a tight knit community.
That's also something the Feds have prided themselves on. To say that, even at the lowest of interpretations, what you're saying, makes the Feds the new USWP is beyond absurd to me. Not because I find "the new USWP" to be necessarily worse than the negatives I see in my own party, but because it's such a ridiculous example of utilizing buzzwords for political rhetoric that just makes zero sense.
Don't apologize to me, I'm not a biased observer, I just think that while the Feds may have some of the issues they've honestly always had, certain people are reacting in an odd way calling, what seems to be, references to "pf-elites" in a party without truly understanding the dynamic.
