Setting the record straight on the CPF


So, what about an introduction?

I don't normally write long winded political treatises, but I have noticed a lot of misinformation in the media as of late. A lot of it comes from people who have not taken the time or responsibility to do proper research. As a player who has been able to achieve a humble amount of success in this game, I feel that I need to express what my party is actually about. This article is not to focus on what other people or groups are or are not doing.

Unlike the real life media, anybody in this game can publish essentially anything they please, no matter how unintelligent or false it is. Such is the world of eRepublik. The real problem however, lies in the fact that many people cannot distinguish fact from fiction, or good writing from utter rubbish. A lot of people will believe anything, simply because it is printed. The real reason for eCanada's arrested development is not our external enemies; it comes from within.


So, what about the CPF?

The primary objective of the CPF is to play the game based on it's structure and mechanics. Some people are interested in approaching the game from an ideological standpoint. We are not. The CPF attracts people who know the importance of getting down to business. A lot of the people on our Privy Council are older players in real life who know that time is money. If you are looking for a party full of young, starry-eyed ideologues, the CPF will not be your first choice. If you prefer efficiency and success, then the CPF leads the way.

Due to our consistent mindset we have been able to take a lion's share of congressional seats for most of our existence. Others prefer to argue on policy, we prefer to play the game by it's rules and outlay. We do not waste our time debating or discussing ideas that have no value or practicality in achieving game success.


The CPF does not have time fo' jibba-jabba fools


Contrary to perception, the CPF has always been open to collaborating with other groups and parties. We have routinely boosted outside candidates for country President, even when people within our party have shown the desire to run. Why? We believe in building good relations with everyone for the betterment of the nation above all else, even our own party interests. That's why.

Yes, we have companies and a private army, because we believe in developing our party along all the avenues that this game provides. Why? Well, why not? There is no need to limit yourself when the opportunities for expansion exist. Providing more opportunities for our members is a way to engage them and keep them active. We are not ashamed to innovate. Consequently our success has been copied because it works in retaining players.



So, what does this mean to you?

The hallmarks of the CPF have been consistency and success. If any of this sounds interesting to you, then why not stop by our Forums and have a look around? We are always accepting new members, and any of us are available to answer any questions, comments or concerns you may have on any topic. Feel free to contact us at any time, whether you are a new player who is not sure which direction to go, or even if you are someone who has been around for a while, but has not really found your niche yet. We have never had a history of being exclusionary and we are not going to start now.

Thinking about getting into politics yourself? Don't want to join us? No worries. The CPF also allows non-members to run for Congress seats under our name, if space permits. Of course, we give preference to party members, but so does every other party. Recently Ozzel O'Dunn of the Union Nationale was able to successfully run under our banner in Quebec. In fact, the CPF has had a long history of being a Francophone-friendly party, and we have had a string of Quebecois representatives in Congress. It is a trend that we hope to continue.
