Diplomacy Successful In South Africa

Pretoria, South Africa- This tiny nation in Africa has become the first of the lesser power nations to successfully avoid war. A few days ago South Africa looked like the possible battle ground for the next global conflict. With the conclusion of the Indo-Austrailian war the Asian military power of Indonesia created a new border with the weaker South Africa. In an effort to prevent the spread of Indonesia's power a thread on the Swedish forums encouraged Swedes to move to South Africa and fortify the nation in case of invasion.

With the international pressure on them South Africa had to act fast as they were on track to become the newest theater of war. South Africa's option were limited, though war would be unpleasant situation fighting the Indonesians alone would be near impossible without the help of the Swedes. With a population of only a hundred and no hospitals they would be no match for a powerful nation that is looking to expand.

Mamangbakso, The president of South Africa, pulled off a last minute stunt that soon got him off the hot seat. On the brink of a possible world war he managed to sign a mutual protection pact with Indonesia, preventing the possibility of an invasion. Not only did they strike a powerful alliance but they also found a way to stay out of the wars in Europe by dissolving all MPPs with European nations. Up to this point South Africa has fought in two other wars brought on by protection pacts but now they seem to be abandoning the tradition of having multiple allies scattered world wide and adopting a system of only allying with nearby military powers.

One thing is for sure, The Scandinavian wars will not be exported to Africa and South Africa can live worry free without the threat of being dragged into a massive foreign war or invasion. Although Sweden probably had good intentions of helping South Africa it appears that their help was unwanted.
