The Campaign Trail: My views so far

Day 499, 16:30 Published in USA USA by King Harambe X

I am going to stray away from campaigning for now, because I have been noticing some very bad traits some of the contenders are showing. When I was growing up (a little JJ, if you will) I was taught that politics was supposed to fuel conversation. A bringing together of people with differing views to to question opinions and reach middle ground. However, the more I look around in eRep, I'm not seeing it. People who raise good, intelligent questions about current issues are mocked, and labeled as 'trolls'. I can say a lot of the people I converse with daily are seeing the same thing.

I am seeing more of an "ignore on risk of getting exposed" way of campaigning. This is quite distressing, because as with all elections, the candidates need to be questioned. I cannot even tell you how many questionnaires I have filled out for people writing articles about my campaign, or just simply wanting more information about me. Some of these guys respond to me after I answer that none of the other candidates had bothered to get back to them yet. I kinda found that odd...I mean who hates free advertising of yourself in a presidential campaign?

I lulz'ed at a comment left after one of mine yesterday. "John Jay, I don't see your articles being riddled with questions. Why are you doing it?" Well if you look in my article here you will see that indeed I do field all questions with clear answers. I thought it was normal. Apparently not.

I want you to think about that when you vote on April 5th. Do you want a president that listens to you and answers you like you matter? Or do you want a president that will dismiss you as a troll when you question them? Vote for leadership. Vote for social interaction. Vote John Jay/Joe DaSmoe.
