okay i rarely write articles but i would like to speak my mind on the current tax proposals that are up right now.. for one a 15% income tax raise is uncalled for, normal citizens in this country need their money to buy weapons and food and such and maybe even to do something called save a lil money to have a business of their own, the 99 percent on the import tax is stupid , i personally have not seen any foreign companies taking over anything at 60 percent. All of this tax raising is uncalled for ... the excuse for the tax raising is so we can afford MPPS. Perhaps instead of raising taxes on our people we should think about which MPPs are really the most important to us, personally i dont see that every one of the ones we have now are really needed. And all the tax revenue wont do the country any good if it is not spent right. it also sickens me to see how many congressmen are jumping on this bandwagon 😕

I respect your opinion, but I personally disagree. As I am sure you are well aware, the cost of MPPs is about to skyrocket from 30 gold to 100 gold. We have a very strong hostile neighbor that borders with us. Israelis have to be prepared and willing to pay higher income taxes if they want to live in an independent Israel. I don't mind sacrificing a portion of my daily salary for the defense and development of eIsrael. I would rather be a poor man living in an eIsraeli Jerusalem then a rich man living in Turkish Jerusalem.

Again, there is not difference between 60% and 99%. No one will import at either rate, so we might as well keep it maxed out if our policy is to support only Israeli countries in those sectors.

i personally think the mpps we have would understand why they were dropped if we dropped, but i agree i am not for a turkish jerusalem at all... and to seeroy if there is no difference what is the point of making the change.... but im glad you at least agreed that the 60% to 99% change is pointless

Given that there is the threat of war I can understand why this was done. I think in the hands of a government who is willing to invest this money back into the economy, it could be positive.

Simply used for more MPPs though, I think is a huge waste of gold, now more than ever. MPPs should now more than ever be used sparingly and intelligently.

I agree with Jeff, we have to be even more particular now about how we spend gold on MPPs.

Another note on income tax, maybe I'm in the wrong business, but it seems (at lvl 18 and 5.5 construction skill) I can make a lot more money just working everyday and getting them shiny new Hard Worker medals than I actually get in salary from my company, egregiously taxed or no.

The only thing it looks like I'll be spending my money on anytime soon is weapons, in case of invasion, so as long as we dont mess with the VAT on those, this is all a good idea. If the situation changes in a few weeks or so, we can change it back!
