Striped Sweaters and Congress
Ludoviko la Nepreparita
Who’s ready to debate about striped sweaters?!
😃
Sorry SpongeBob, and everyone else who wanted to debate, but we can get back to SpongeBob later but first I have to talk to you about something rather important…Congressional Elections!
Alright, so I’m sure you’ve all probably read at least one other congressional manifesto this time around, so I’m sure by now you may or may not want to read mine.
Oh yeah! Let’s read his manifesto!!!!
😃.........Ok maybe not.
Regardless how many times you’ve voted, or how long you’ve been playing eRepublik, or even your party/person al views; I want to represent YOU by running from Lower Austria in eAustria’s Congress. ‘Why do you want to do this?’ some of you might ask. The answer is very simple, I wish to serve my country of eAustria anyway I can.
‘Well, if you’re going to represent me, can you do the job? I mean, do you have any credentials?’ Of course! A few of them are…
>I am on eRepublik everyday and read articles daily to stay as informed as possible.
>I have been serving as eAustria’s Ambassador to eFrance since December 2010. (Three terms)
> I have been the eAustrian Assistant Director of Embassies since December 2010. (Three Terms)
Dealing more directly with politics…
>I have previously been a Congress member from January to February of 2011.
>I was also a congress member in eNew Zealand from November to December of 2010.
Now, this is all dandy as candy but what about my beliefs? In the past, I have put great thought into every vote before I cast it: ultimately thinking of the effect it will have on the nation and it’s citizens. I also believe that the government should be taxing the citizenry as little as possible in order to stimulate economic growth and development; so I have usually voted down a tax hike law. I also will represent the people’s idea’s before my own when voting, I am representing the citizens of eAustria in congress, not myself. And finally, I will listen to any comment/suggestions/concerns etc of the citizens. If you have a problem where maybe you can’t seem to find your way as a newbie or maybe you have a question about something in general: I will answer your question or get you the answer myself.
Also, here are some links from previous manifestos by date and country in case you feel like browsing them (in some cases language.)
June 2010, eUnited Kingdom, English
November 2010, eNew Zealand, English
December 2010, eNew Zealand, English
December 2010, eNew Zealand, Français/French
January 2011, eAustria, English/Deutsch
So, in conclusion, when you go to click the button VOTE tomorrow, I hope you will remember my words and cast your vote for who you feel truly represents your opinions.
Alright SpongeBob, you can come back now.
Haha, I guess that made him really happy.
Thank you for your attention!
Have a good day, have fun voting, and Rot-Weiß-Rot bis in den Tod!

SpongeBob pictures in article.. Not serious..
vote!
Mikalojus, I added stuff like that because my articles seemed to go better when I made them a bit humourous as well as informative. I tried to apply that same theory to my manifesto in order to keep it from being a total bore and maybe a bit easier and more fun to read. However, if you feel it is too unprofessional, I can understand that and I thank you for your suggestion 🙂
Next time, I will be sure to try to be as professional as I can.
Again, thank you for your feedback! 🙂
