South Korea, Losing Their Seoul

Day 156, 15:13 Published in USA USA by Desertfalcon

Seoul, South Korea- Early this morning a massive amphibious invasion could be seen from the beaches of Jeju as the land of the rising sun launched an offensive campaign to take South Korea and gain a foothold on mainland Asia. Jeju is an island in between Japan and South Korea, due to its location if it falls to the Japanese it is likely to stay under their control due to its prime defensive position.

Although the war is young the fall of Jeju may signal the defeat of the Koreans unless international military aid is found. Currently 21 Japanese soldiers occupy Korean lands, if the Koreans managed to just get fifteen soldiers to join their ranks they could possibly halt the Japanese advance. Their current defense however may just be too little too late. If they lose Jeju today they will lose 32% of their population which will give them even less defenders to defend the mainland Korea.

A halt on the Korean peninsula seems unlikely, even with the less then stunning Japanese army as the aggressors the Korean leadership has failed to raise the support necessary to win a defensive war. Their economy is in the pits with the only thing on the market being moving tickets. There are fifteen moving tickets so if some of the resident of Jeju buy them they may be able to move to South Korea and keep up the fight but most can not afford one and the government does not have much money to pay for mercenaries much less moving tickets.

With no food, weapons, houses, or gifts on the market things are not looking good for South Korea in this war. They have absolutely nothing to regenerate their wellness, not even a q1 hospital. Time however is on the side of the Koreans as due to the Islands shape they have four days too scrap up some support before they become the ninth nation to fall and lose their Seoul.
