Secretary of Defense - Setting the record Straight

Up until today, the OWLS (the official MU of INCI) had been a branch of the United States Armed Forces. With their release of the following ultimatum:

they have effectively left.

As Secretary of Defense, I want to set a few facts straight about how this relationship ended.

1: OWLS is NOT a member of the OMS. LeperMessiah mentions that in his article, but he is wrong. They were a member of the USAF. OMS-funded Militias currently receive $40,000/week and they treated with far less accountability. OWLS received more funding than several other branches of the USAF, and accountability has been the main issue since they joined.

2: I sent numerous communications to the various OWLS leadership explaining that the reason their funds were cut had to do with the following issues:

These three were given as examples.

OWLS response was that these were done because they wanted more funds.

Selling of Citizenship to high-bidding immigrants.
Regardless of how you feel about the "rules of conduct" established for Congressmen in our forum boards, buying citizenship is the #1 way for our enemies to gain strength in our country. OWLS and INCI Congressmen are the worst offenders. There is no tolerance for these actions.

When asked to stop, OWLS response was that they would stop if the eUS Government would PAY THEM TO STOP. In their exact words, they wanted "compensation" for not selling CS.

Poorly organized Communes.
It has always been like pulling teeth to get any details from OWLS about their commune structure. Why are organized communes important to the USAF? Because buying TANKS is more expensive than buying RAW MATERIALS. We don't like to waste money.

OWLS response is that they have communes. In fact, OWLS leadership was very cooperative with me in gathering data about their communes. As far as I know this was a first in our relationship with OWLS. I thought it was a sign of better things to come.

Directing Damage.
As LeperMessiah points out in his ultimatum, this was one of the major factors leading to their reduction of funds. OWLS do not follow USAF orders. Instead, they put their orders to a vote among all OWLS membership, and they follow whatever course the poll decides. This, they describe, is a kind of Anarchy which works best for them. But it does NOTHING to guarantee the Defense Department that they will be directing damage to USAF priorities. If they happen to fight for us, it is thanks to the whim of their groupthink.

I was in the midst of what seemed like a productive conversation with LeperMessiah (we were talking about a deal which would guarantee funds in exchange for a guarantee from them about following USAF Priorities at a set time daily) when he suddenly - without any other provocation exited the negotiation and declared his ultimatum.

All of these conversation logs have been turned over the President Israel Stevens and his Staff.

It is still my desire to find terms with OWLS. However, we will not negotiate under the duress of an ultimatum, nor will the Defense Department kowtow to their threat by paying them off.
