Return of the Vikings

Copenhagen, Denmark- This land on the Jutland peninsula is no stranger to war. World Wars one and two were both fought here and with the dawn of the age of war imminent it seems as though once again the seas of Europe will bleed red. As the calendar draws nearer and nearer to April 7th leaders of the smaller nations around northern Europe can only hope for peace and to not be gobbled up.
Citizens of Denmark watch in concern every move the Swedish military makes due to the fact that if the leader of Sweden wishes to expand Denmark will be a strategic country to capture. On March, 14, 2008 Sweden and Norway formed an alliance which created a huge threat to the entire continent of Europe. Before then and still today Sweden was a dominant player when it came to military matters as even today Sweden has a strength of 17,234, over 10,000 points above 2nd place Indonesia. When the Swedes signed a mutual protection pact with the Norwegians who are 3rd with 6,139 strength points it was a huge blow to all European nations as they could no longer hope for the beasts of Scandinavia to tire themselves out with each other.
With the outbreak of war between the Norwegians and the Finish it is likely to see the swedes come surrounded by their ally on all land borders and their only way of expanding to be by taking Denmark to the south then having access to the weakly defended mainland of Europe. Finland still has a chance as after today it will take two more days for Norway to fully capture their nation but Finland's defeat is inevitable, any defensive measures they undertake are just a stall.
If we are to see a massive Scandinavian invasion it would be near impossible to stop with a strength of over 17,000 and the aid of Norway it dwarfs the combined strength of every nation in Europe north of Italy,Bulgaria, and Spain who would likely be the stopping point if Sweden wished to launch a full scale continental war. These three nations would be near impossible to take as they would only have to hold onto a small strip of land at the entrance to their peninsula.
A massive Swedish assault on Europe may be imminent and it is vital for the European nations to band together and stop them at Denmark. Otherwise “Peace” may be brought to the northern two thirds of Europe. As for the first time since the age of the Vikings the Scandinavian military threat comes south into Europe.
UPDATE: Within the writing of this article it has come to my attention that the president of Sweden has in fact proposed war on Denmark. I will write a follow up article on this soon but I will still release this article as it took me some time to write.

Holy crap. Well, go Denmark. You have my support
I wish this war was over all ready so I could go over seas
lol hypocrites.
Also, this isnt real life.
Who? Me? I have supported the end of this war for a while and was happy when I heard that we were negotiating a peace treaty. However, I did not support the treaty when I heard the terms.
Because the terms should obviously favor those who foolishly, aggressively, started a war which hurt both countries interests (although America far more as can be seen in your current international disfavor).
The terms were fair, and had the cease-fire not been put into effect you guys would have already had to accept similar terms. The cease-fire has certainly changed things but we Canadians will not back down till we receive fair compensation for your governments foolish acts.
Our territory, some gold and a formal apology to us and the international community is more then fair.
The thing is, the gold that you wanted in the agreement is more than the rest of the war will cost.
That is a poor assessment. You may be right a continued war will not directly cost your treasury the amount of gold but you are completely dismissing the obvious economic losses. They will far exceed the gold demanded in terms of economic recession. Many have shown they don\'t believe me but more and more average American\'s are recognizing the problems and I guarantee things will only get worse as war continues.
Remember your productive output has only increased since the cease-fire and you still face a volatile economy. What do you expect to happen when the majority of your workforce returns to ~10% wellness?
Didn\'t they also demand Alaska?
We have as a deterant to future conflicts as it would protect our flank and mean one less territory to defend.
At the same time, as Dishmcds has said about negotiations in the past, that is only our base position and we would likely be willing to pass that over for other propositions. One such as a unilateral trade deal (along the lines of 70% for us and 20% for you for a 2 month period).
You do realize that continuing this war will hurt the Canadian economy too? You just haven\'t felt it because you received all of your wellness back after the ceasefire. When fighting resumes and Canadian workers start losing a few battles they won\'t be able to produce much with 10 wellness.
Diarmuid, why would I be so blind to point to that problem in your economy and not recognize the same potential flaw in our own? You should not consider me so naive.
Yet, I understand what must be done to lessen the impact of this recessionary gap and maintain as much productivity as possible despite this. From comparative analysis it is quite clear the same can not be said of your own leadership. There apparent lack of understanding, both politically and economically, means that whatever economic effects occur on our side will be far less proportionally damaging to our ability to mobilize.
