Respect The Sheep

There are a few interesting things to write about these days in my opinion. For instance it’s now been two months since Residence was introduced without a further peep from Admin on it...


But I am motivated today to write on a topic that I believe needs to be written.


It is time for the Black Sheep Party to be fully recognized and appreciated.


Let me explain.






The Problem

The Black Sheep Party (TBSP) and its affiliated Military Unit the VMA-214 The Black Sheep had a jaded beginning that put the entire microcommunity at odds with the establishment parties (I’ll refer to USWP, Feds, and WTP as “establishment”). I will not recount the details of these beginnings here, because it is my entire purpose in writing today that those details be buried along with the hatchet.


Additionally, TBSP has been well-led by something of a firebrand. Citizen Arrden is well known for his cantankerous nature. He doesn’t enjoy playing along with the various stupidity that so many Congresspeople enjoy (such as the monthly discussions to censure Franklin Stone - which honestly isn’t really such a stupid idea after all, but it always seems to come across that way). Anyway, the chicanery and trollish nature of much of Congress bothers Arrden and he makes his opinions known by voicing them harshly. I will also go on record today by saying that even though I have been the target of Arrden’s harshness, and even though he doesn’t like goofing off in Congress quite like I do, Arrden’s presence in Congress has NEVER caused a problem. I miss him since he left.


I believe that any ill will that has been directed at TBSP can find its root in those two playing fields. And it is my already stated goal today to make a first step towards healing the relationship between me and TBSP as well as fostering an amicable working relationship between TBSP and the other establishment parties.







Now, to quote everyone’s favorite idiot, I do not officially speak for my party here. I’m just a guy who wants to make a change for the better in the eUSA community.



The Solution

I do not want to put any words in the mouths of TBSP members. And so what I am about to say is mostly reflective of my own thinking and is not intended to suggest anything else. Quite frankly I don’t know exactly what the ethos of ideas is over at TBSP, I only know that they do not propose retarded ideas, they do not invoke protest strategies that are intended to harm the establishment, and they seem to just desire a seat at the table.

So what I am suggesting to my mates in USWP, Fedlandia, and WeTheP is that we put the past behind us and do whatever we can to welcome those at TBSP “into the fold” as it were. I do realize that there are some members of the establishment who have always looked at TBSP as equals. I have not been one of them. I have allowed my disdain for the aforementioned “problems” to sour my attitude towards them as a party.

I was wrong to do that and I apologize. I especially and specifically apologize to Arrden as I think I’ve directed the bulk of my disdain in his direction. I’m sorry.

I instead would like to publish my respect for TBSP.

They have been remarkably consistent in hammering away at an establishment that can easily be twice as cantankerous as any single player. All the while they’ve been critical of what is worst about the establishment without devolving into petulent rogue behaviors. In fact, I’d suggest that they’ve had fewer rogue issues than any of the establishment parties. Kudos to them!






In Conclusion

I don’t want to belabor the point and risk making this about me or my apology. I merely want to say that I want to pull a chair out for my brothers at TBSP/VMA-214 and welome them back to the table as equals - heck, in some respects as superior.
