Ray Bradbury (1920-2012)

I wanted to post this as a tribute to one of the greatest science fiction writers of all time. Ray Bradbury died yesterday, just a few months shy of his 92nd birthday. Despite the fact that I did not like Fahrenheit 451, he was one of the greatest writers in history, and a true visionary for the future. Although we know that life is finite, and our time eventually runs out, this is a great loss to the world. He will be missed.

I also wanted to mention that my uncle(who is related by marriage)'s father was killed in a car crash yesterday at the age of 72. I didn't know him particularly well, but would see him periodically at events involving my aunt and uncle. I just ran in to him at a restaurant a week and a half ago when I went out to dinner for my grandfather's 80th birthday. I feel bad that I did not say much to him now. Remember that life can end at any moment without expectation. Try not to waste a moment of it. I am guilty of that too, and I hope we can all make every moment count.
