R.R. Napier's manifesto for elections in the South East.

Day 638, 19:33 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by R.R. Napier

I would like to announce that I, R.R. Napier, will be contesting the August South East Congressional elections. Although this is usually Quikfen’s electoral region she is currently serving operationally in the Royal Navy and I have agreed to stand in her stead for this round of elections.

Who am I?
I am Rear Admiral R.R. Napier, a member of the Royal Navy command, Commandant of the Royal Naval Academy Holywood and Commander of the Training Fleet. I devised, implemented and now oversee the Training Wing, the Royal Navy organisation which helps train the weakest recruits who are often in need of immediate assistance.

Alongside my naval duties I am also privileged to represent the eUnited Kingdom abroad as the eUnited Kingdom Ambassador to the eUnited Netherlands.

Endorsement
Having worked with R.R. Napier in the Royal Navy he has shown to be a hard working and much respected Commodore, I feel he will make an excellent Congressman for you guys in the South East.

Admiral of the Fleet Rodney Mckay

Why am I standing?
I seek office not for petty personal gain, prestige or renown. The sole reason I’m standing for Congress is to represent YOU. First and foremost I want to ensure that the views of my constituents are heard loud and clear. I want to reinforce the link between constituent and representative, a link which has been sadly noted as being in steady decline. To allow you to have your say on the issues of the day you can find my contact details at the end of the manifesto.

What will I do?
The lack of activity in the South East is a pressing issue and If elected I would push for the establishment of a non-partisan Communications Directorate (or similar) which will seek to attract more forum active people for the South East.

I will pledge my support to any gifting scheme currently in operation or to work with my South East Congressional colleagues to establish and work out a new scheme to assist those fledgling players in the South East who need our help and assistance with wellness and fighting.

Why the Radical Freethinkers Alliance?

Snippet from the RFA manifesto:

Beliefs should be formed on the basis of logic, and reason, and should not be influenced by authority, tradition, or any other dogma. The eUK is dominated by real life inspired parties of left and right, yet this is a game. We will reject traditional political thinking and do only that which furthers growth, prosperity and fun.

The first sentence in the manifesto is the reason why I am immensely proud to be standing for election as a member of the RFA. The absence of any party wings allows disparate left, right and centrist believers to come together to formulate a policy for the good of the eUK, rather than being a slave to ideological dogma.

Contact
I positively encourage everyone who reads this manifesto to contact me in some way for a polite conversation, send me a PM in-game (R.R. Napier), find me on IRC (RRNapier), spam my eUK forum inbox (R.R. Napier) or even message me on MSN (crashboards@msn.com). I look forward to hearing from you all, whether you vote for me or not. In fact, please add me as a friend in-game either way.

Summary
If you would like a Congressman who has dedicated his career to serving the eUnited Kingdom, someone who is trustworthy, honourable, active, devoted and willing to do everything within his power to improve the South East and the eUnited Kingdom then please vote for me, R.R. Napier, on the 25th.

And even if you decide not to vote for me, I implore you to at least vote for someone. The more votes cast, the more democratic the system and the more representative the Congressmen in the South East will be.

Thanks for your time and take care!

Cheers,

R.R. Napier
