Welcome to the third edition of Political Hotspot.
This newspaper is a monarchist newspaper (hence the purple logo), and doesn't really support the presidential system, however, as there is no alternative in eRepublik, I am willing to overlook that, and bring you the results from the presidential election alongside the normal snapshot of party membership.
As the chart shows, CptChazbeard (often known as 'Chaz') won a landslide victory in the election, with the other candidates scoring just under 39% between them. The only candidate from outside the top ten parties, William Ross of The United Sovereign Party UK, won only 7% of the vote.
The membership of the top five parties (and the top ten), has fallen sharply, with no less than 20 members having left the top five. This seems to be on a permanently downward trajectory.
One of the stars of politics in eUK, Aleksander V. Popovik, has returned to the game following an absence due to RL issues over the past few weeks. Maybe his presence can help restore eUK to it's former glory.
The next edition of Political Hotspot should be published on Tuesday 16th December, and will be the final edition this year. Christmas break: there will be no edition of Political Hotspot on the 26th December.
Clarification: CptChazbeard is a member of The Real Spamicans, not UKPP as incorrectly shown on the eRepublik election page, and the chart in this article.

Oh dear, I should've done more research! It shows UKPP on election results page.
TRS were PTOing the eUK so Chaz was a Spamican in UKPP clothing throughout the election 😉

Ah, I see, things are always more complicated than they first appear.
The problem is that profiles are dying, for example in the UKPP from the start of our current PP's term we had +18 members, but also -22 (19 died or banned), and it seems there will be more. Also the new members are often suspicious accounts.
How can we revive the fortunes of eUK?
People not leaving the game, people returning to the game, admins improving the game, new active players...
