I was never really interested in a Military, now I’m possessed with, feel I haven’t done anything during the wars in the nighties and it’s my turn now. Through the New Era of Cooperation!

Armed forces of the Netherlands
A platoon is a military unit typically composed of more than two squads / sections / patrols. Platoon organization varies depending on the country and the branch, but typically a platoon consists of around 15 to 30 soldiers. A platoon leader or commander is the officer in command of a platoon. This person is usually a junior officer — a second or first lieutenant or an equivalent rank. The officer is usually assisted by a platoon sergeant. A platoon is the smallest military unit led by a commissioned officer.
Platoons normally consist of three or four sections (Commonwealth) or squads (US).
A unit consisting of several platoons is called a company / battery / troop.
Een peloton in het Nederlandse leger is een onderdeel van een compagnie en bestaat, afhankelijk van de taak, uit 20 tot 50 militairen met de rang van soldaat 2 t/m kapitein met aan het hoofd een officier: doorgaans een kapitein of luitenant. De plaatsvervangend commandant is doorgaans ook officier, meestal een luitenant.
Een peloton bestaat weer uit een aantal afzonderlijke groepen met een grootte van zo'n 3 tot 8 militairen, met aan het hoofd een onderofficier (de GPC ofwel Groeps Commandant), meestal een sergeant-majoor of een sergeant.
Ook binnen de organisatiestructuur van het Korps Mariniers bestaan pelotons. Sommige zeer gespecialiseerde pelotons staan onder direct bevel van een bataljonscommandant.
In het Belgisch leger bestaat een peloton uit 40 militairen. Een peloton bestaat vervolgens uit een staf sectie, steun sectie en 3 fuseliers secties. De staf is het bevel van het peloton en bestaat uit: een pelotonscommandant (meestal een luitenant), pelotons-adjunct (meestal een 1ste Sergeant)
Eerste luitenant KMar
Eerste luitenant is bij de landmacht, koninklijke marechaussee en de luchtmacht een militaire rang. Bij de Koninklijke Marine heet de met eerste-luitenant overeenkomstige rang luitenant ter zee der tweede klasse, soms wordt hier de niet officiële term "jc of jongste categorie" aan toegevoegd als extra onderscheid ten opzichte van de naast hogere rang van "oudste categorie". De rang wordt bij de KLu afgekort tot ELT, bij de KL en KMar tot ELNT, bij het Korps mariniers tot ELNTMARNS en de bij KM tot LTZ2.
Een eerste luitenant is een officier.
Voor officieren met een opleidingsachtergrond op de Koninklijke Militaire Academie (KMA) (en vroeger ook het OCOSD - opleidingscentrum officieren van speciale diensten) is deze rang na een eerste functievervulling van 2 of 3 jaar te behalen. In de eerste functievervulling zijn zij bevorderd van cadet naar tweede luitenant.
Ook komt het voor dat onderofficieren die uitmuntend functioneren rechtstreeks tot eerste-luitenant worden bevorderd, zonder tussenkomst van de KMA. Deze zogeheten "uitlopers" bereiken veelal maximaal de eindrang van kapitein. Dit omdat ze als onderofficier al de hoogste rang (adjudant) bereikt hadden en dus vaak al ouder dan 50 jaar zijn. In uitzonderlijke gevallen is soms ook de rang van majoor te bereiken, echter is e.e.a. afhankelijk van een evt. gevolgde hbo/ academische studie en vooral leeftijd.
De laatste categorie rechtstreeks aangestelde officieren zijn de specialisten, de "speccers" (vaak geplaatst op een CIMIC of IDEA functie). Dit zijn civiele specialisten (medici, fysiotherapeuten, journalisten, bouwkundigen, juristen). Deze worden veelal na een 11 weekse KMA speccer opleiding bevorderd tot officier. Bij toekenning van hun rang wordt gekeken naar de civiele equivalent in salaris/ status (meestal v/a kapitein) en werkervaring. Vakexperts op gebied van verpleging, logistiek, douane, worden meestal na de eerder genoemde 11 weekse opleiding bevorderd tot eerste-luitenant.
Maurits van Oranje (1567-1625) is een van de bekendste stadhouders in de Republiek der Zeven Verenigde Nederlanden.
Luitenant betekent, net als het woord stadhouder, plaatsvervanger. Het woord komt uit het Frans: lieu = plaats, tenir = houden.

A lieutenant (abbreviated Lt., LT, LTA, Lieut., LEUT and LEUT.) is a junior commissioned officer in many nations' armed forces, fire service or police.

In navies it is often equivalent to the army rank of captain; it may also indicate a particular post rather than a rank. Where more junior officers were employed as deputies to the lieutenant, they went by many names, including second lieutenant, sub-lieutenant, ensign and cornet. Some parts of the British Army, including the Royal Artillery, Royal Engineers and fusilier regiments, used first lieutenant as well as second lieutenant until the end of the 19th century, and some British Army regiments still preserve cornet as an official alternative to second lieutenant.

The senior grade of lieutenant is known as first lieutenant in the United States, and as lieutenant in the United Kingdom and the rest of the English-speaking world. In countries which do not speak English, the rank title usually translates as "lieutenant", but may also translate as "first lieutenant" or "senior lieutenant". The Israel Defense Forces rank segen (סגן) literally translates as "deputy", which is equivalent to a lieutenant.

Command Company KMar
The emblem of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee is, as with many other gendarmerie forces, a flaming grenade. In the 17th century, a new weapon was introduced in Europe: the hand grenade. The soldiers who handled grenades were called grenadiers. They became an elite type of soldier in all European armies. In France, the grenade symbol was adopted by the gendarmerie, and this was imitated by similar forces throughout Europe.
The Koninklijke Marechaussee, the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, abbreviated to KMar (English is Royal Marshals, but commonly seen as Royal Military Constabulary), is one of the four Services of the armed forces of the Netherlands. It is a gendarmerie force performing military police and civil police duties.

New Commander for Royal Netherlands Army
Lieutenant General Beulen took over the position from Lieutenant General Mart de Kruif at the Netherlands Defence Academy in Breda.
13 Light Armoured Brigade focuses on Belgium and Luxembourg
The existing cooperation between the 13 Light Armoured Brigade in Oirschot and counterparts in the Belgian Medium Brigade and the Luxembourg Military Centre is to be intensified. This was laid down in a declaration of intent on 24 March. The three parties will combine forces in the field of exercises, training and instruction, among other things. They will also exchange knowledge regarding doctrine, tactical and technical procedures and lessons learned from operations.
First part of 'Dutch' Apache landing gear ready
On 24 March, Fokker in Helmond delivered the first Apache landing gear part ever to be serviced in the Netherlands. The parts in question are the combat helicopter's shock absorbers. These were previously maintained by Boeing in the United States. Due to arrangements made previously between Boeing and Fokker, but also between Boeing and the Netherlands Air Force, this maintenance now takes place in the Netherlands. This should keep the maintenance affordable and increase deployability, thanks to shorter turnarounds and improved availability of parts. Furthermore, it creates high-quality jobs for the Netherlands.
Appreciation for the fight against ISIS
"We are harming ISIS by aiding local opposition parties, by taking out munition stores and bomb factories, by disrupting supply lines and by cutting off their flow of funds", said Chief of Defence General Tom Middendorp on 22 March during a medal ceremony at Leeuwarden Air Base. He noted how the horrendous attacks that morning in Brussels had shown how important it is to keep fighting against ISIS. "Every attack, every violation of human dignity is a breach of our borders and security."
