On Jan 11, 2024, on the pressconference to Baltic media Zelenskyy said that, thanks to Western weapons, Ukraine "used it to destroy 26 helicopters in a day, 12 airplanes that were taking off and then hit with missiles"

Later, the spokesman of UA Air Force lhnat sai😛"Everyone knows perfectly well what was meant". "Not downed, but destroyed. I think it's about things that everyone discussed a long time ago and somewhat forgot. It's the destruction of enemy aircraft - helicopters and planes - directly at the airfield bases.'

Let's just remind sceptics about some cases.
On Oct 17, 2023 UA Armed Forces struck at Russian airfields near occupied Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhya Oblast and in Luhansk, destroying at least nine helicopters and numerous other objects, including enemy air defense.

On Aug 9, 2022 Ukraine struck ru airfields Saky and Dzhankoy in occupied Crimea, destroying from 7 to 9 aircrafts and some other objects.

I think everybody can remember events in legendary Chornobaivka in 2022... if not, Google it, you'll be impressed how russians grind a lot of own troops and technics again and again.

And ofcourse, russians all the time said "no damages, no casualties". Yeah, everybody believe that... Propaganda as it is 🤥

PS% As of Jan 14, 2024, Russia has lost a total of 329 planes and 324 helicopters since Feb. 24, 2022, according to the General Staff.
Over the course of the full-scale war, Ukraine has reported numerous successful strikes that managed to destroy Russian aircraft and helicopters on the ground.

Sometime at the day of event media knows less than Governors of various countries clearifies after one or two week passed.
