Let's derail....together.

Friends, enemies, 2 clickers.
Apparently the unity that has befallen this isle recently is to come to an end. Now, this isn't an article to sway one way or another. It's an article to show frustration. Frustration over the fact that some believe we NEED a Dictator. Frustration over the fact that this only really effects 2 individuals and hardly anyone else. Frustration over that we can't get any peace and quiet without someone feeling slighted or begrudged in some manor or fashion.
For the past week or so, everyone has been pretty complacent. Yes, many want Congress to play an active role when elections are held in a week. Yes, many want the CP to continue along his path of virtual uninterrupted rule.
Pros
1. We're not dead
2. We've rebuilt the IA thanks in part to the Commander, Don Croata.
3. The Community is seemingly more active with pushes from the government and ministers.
4. We have no Dictator which provides no headbutting between the CP and Dictator
Cons
1. We have no Dictator which means we are at a slight risk of being MTO'd
2. We do not have an official congress which means we have no official congressional powers.
Now a VAST majority of us haven't had a real problem with this. Of course I'd like to see an active Congress just because it makes us even more united and coalitions are a key to that unity, but we don't have one and I and many others live with that. We may not like it, but it doesn't keep us up at night. However, there are some on both sides of this argument.
"Put the Previous Dictator back into their role."
"Put the CP into the Role of Dictator."
"Why have a Dictator at all?"
But I digress. Many (and by many, I mean MANY) of us don't have a stake in another potential Civil War. You may want one side to win or lose, but you don't particular have a stake in it. The truth of the mater is it's getting tiring and boring hearing the same people complain about the same things and expecting everyone around them to take up arms in their favor. Frankly, it's stupid all away around. From top to bottom, side to side.
Until next time.

I understand your frustration entirely.
Hopefully we will have a conclusion soon.
Good article but I would say you are underestimating the threat of foreign MTO. I would place it at far higher than "slight risk"
For this reason then I must disagree with you and say that we all have a MASSIVE STAKE in this. If Ireland is subjected to a well organised MTO then it is game over for all of us. Stakes don't get much higher than that.
It was game over the day Don joined Ireland.
pfft, Don is ATLEAST as Irish as your yankie ass 😛
Oh now you are just being silly. Don contributed more so far than I ever saw you.
"if Ireland is subjected to a well organised MTO" - then it really won't matter whether we have a dictator or not 🙂
probably not, but you don't go sticking your arse in the air inviting a good fisting either.
You are right. For a less direct argument along the same lines as yours see my response to Adraestia as to why we need a dictator. it involves bikes, locks and bike thieves, rather than arses and fists 🙂
Agreed. Rhetoric has gotten out of control, as is seen in the comments section of this article already. The Administration would do well to reconvene Congress and begin work on a coalition government if the threat of MTO is significant.
Right now the only promised MTO I have seen is that of the current Administration, who promises to seize control of the Government through military action (or Military Take Over) and appoint Sluagh absolute Dictator of eIreland with no agreement on the limits and powers of that position. Disenfranchising 40-60% of eIreland in the name of one playstyle is just as bad as doing it for another.
Hello from the disenfranchised of the past 6years..
How so? Most of your programs were still in place a little over half that time ago. You have been CP in the duration as well.
I had no choice. The game forced me to work from inside that awful system. The admins no longer force that system upon people.
But many folks have taken it upon themselves to continue forcing it on us in their stead. These same folks are bemoaning a new system that they don't like being forced on them.
There is no moral superiority there, just kids refusing to share toys.
my vote.
i am really afraid of what will happen soon tbh.

Laying aside ideological differences, we return to the question of do we need a dictatorship, or not?
I honestly say no. But in the event that we have one (democratically elected as before), they need to do absolutely nothing but hit a button. Not be involved in political discussions of any sort. They are there to guard against an MTO and nothing more.
This is eIreland.
We fight best amongst ourselves.
But no one else better butt in or we will give them a sound thrashing.
Here here we ll said. I share your frustration.
