From just reading the headline I was thinking this was going to be some 50 Shades of Grey fan fiction.
Sometimes I get the windies!

in what group are you the one with south africa or australia. watch out for windies though. they was not as bad against us. and is loaded with big hitters especially gayle is a bit crazy.
Gayle's very hit and miss at the moment, though everyone knows he can be deadly, but the Windies bowling attack is a bit underpowered. I'm surprised Narine isn't even in their squad, though.
Please explain to me the rules in international cricket governing which country you can play for? It seems strange to me that someone can play for country A, then declare for country B then declare for country A again. Strange of course is too polite a word to use. The phrases "fuc&ing bonkers", or "absolutely ridiculous" would seem to fit the bill. Perhaps cricket gave Plato ideas when it came to citizenship in e Republic????
i dnt think they have a rule about it. only require citizenship. many south africans went overseas and plays for the uk for example including kevin pietersen and andrew strauss.
I really asked my question as a result of the shenanigans of a cricket player called - Ed "I'm Irish, no I'm English, no I'm Irish again"Joyce. Ed born in Ireland, played international cricket for Ireland, then by residency in England played for England, now he is allowed to play for Ireland again. Why?
Compare this to the rugby player Richardt Strauss, born in South Africa
but never played at senior level for South Africa so he can qualify by residency (playing for Leinster for 3 years) to play for Ireland. Now that he has been capped at senior level for Ireland no matter what he does he cannot play for any other country. To me this makes more sense and the player has to nail his colours to the mast, he cannot chop and change.
I hear whingers. Not so much an upset more like a decent result.
