Katts Reflections On The Past Week

Day 3,202, 06:29 Published in Australia Australia by Kattrrina

Good to be able to take a break after the rollercoaster ride this past week has been.

Rusty leant me his holiday cottage for the weekend since all my properties are under hungary occupation.

Hang on a sec this isn't a cottage. Hmmm let me check his note again. "Take the keys for my holiday cottage and get away for the weekend. I'll be using the beach house." Oh guess he'll be spending the weekend at the cottage then. Got really funny looks and complaints from the 2 girls who were here when I arrived and I kicked them out.

As I look back while enjoying the sun I reflect on what we've learnt along the way.

Last friday I woke up like any other and checked in on things. Found the airstrike by Hungary shortly followed by Ukraine.

When I went out for supper after discussing plans took a shortcut through an alley and next thing I remember I was in the outback. Took me 3 days to walk back. Luckily they left my bag and some rations to get home.

Still got a lump on my head but doc says no fracture so I'm good.

Fortunately I had a satellite phone I found in Rusty's safe (hope its not too expensive dropped it a few times, also you need to come up with a better code than 1234 boss, thats easy to break you know) and could keep contact with command and keep our orders flowing.

With contact we organised a safe haven with NZ to ensure our congress.

Soon despite heavy fighting all regions but our one in NZ were taken.

We took good note of who was fighting for us and who was supporting Hungary and Ukraine in their aggression.

Once wars were closed we got our plans to kick Ukraine into operation.

I moved to a new military unit to be able to set dos while Rusty slept and we took turns battlewatching.

Within a few days and despite a NE Ukraine threw our way, we got them kicked. With help of CO's and some friendly MUs.

As I look back tired but pleased we've achieved a few things, but also learned a few things:

1. Sometimes nations you think are friends and allies, are only so as long as it suits them, and will attack you or turn their back on you when it suits them.
2. The nations you least expect will offer you a helping hand without asking for anything.

I know there are a number of nations that have been added to my blacklist of nations I won't fight for. And a number of nations who will find themselves with a friend in need when my nation doesn't need my fights.

We have a long road ahead of us, but we will get Hungary returned where they came from.
