Department of Politics
Day 1,716 of the New World
1 August 2012

Present for the debate were Civil Anarchy, Haliman, and Dan Wang’s Chief of Staff Bacon Empire.
Cerb hosted with Oblige assisting.
The first question had to do with the war with Canada. The question was wide open, “What do you intend to do about Canada?”

Bacon Empire/Dan Wang’s answer was the simplest. Wipe Canada.

Haliman answered by criticizing current foreign policy as “terrible”. In his answer, he asserted that the war with Canada would be ended, that he was working with Canadian Presidential hopeful Jacobi. He stated that in his administration, we would work with any nation that has our best interests at heart.

Civil Anarchy wants a “White Peace”. (White peace refers to when an alliance is granted peace in a conflict without being subject to any formal terms or conditions. This means that they have surrendered to the other, no reparations are paid or improvement/wonder restrictions are enforced. Quoted from the cybernations wiki.) CA further asserted that he does not believe that Canada is a country that wants to see us prosper. He left open the possibility of returning to friendly relations with them, that returning their regions should take place ASAP, but that if Canada does NOT end its Natural Enemy status with eUSA we would be forced to wipe them so that the NE would be ended.

In follow-up questions, Civil Anarchy provided a variety of data which showed that the current political climate in Canada is absolutely anti-eUSA.
The next question asked, generally, who we can expect to be allied with in the near future.

Haliman mentioned Germany, France, Brazil, and Canada. His main stance is that he wants to work with any nation which wants to see us prosper.

Bacon Empire/Dan Wang mentioned Brazil as the primary nation to be allied with.

Civil Anarchy endorsed alliances with Russia, Japan, Spain, France, Germany, Brazil. He specifically mentioned that he has no intention to build a relationship with Poland or any ONE nation. He will follow a strict “non-allignment policy” meaning he does not intend to join a formal alliance. In working with foreign nations – especially those which may be in conflict with one another - he wants to develop a “pact of territorial integrity”. This would be a way of agreeing to help defend one another’s territorial sovereignty while still allowing them to support conflicting allies.
The next question dealt with Chickensguys, his recent actions as a congressman, and follow-up questions dealt with RLC in general.

Civil Anarchy jumped in right away by decrying Chickensguys as a thief and coward. He indicated that he (CA) had authored legislation making CG an Enemy of the State. He called CG’s justification of his actions “idiotic”. He then developed a lengthier description of the RLC as an enemy party which is attempting to systematically undermine the American Government. CA indicated that RLC has been selling Citizenship to immigrants from enemy nations. He believes that the party urgently needs to be stopped. He also pointed out that an RLC congressman had recently proposed an NE proposal ingame at the exact time when we might likely need one in the case of ONE freeing Mexico through Resistance War. (In other words, the timing of this rogue NE proposal prevents our Government from being able to propose an NE against Mexico after ONE forces liberate one of its territories.) CA sees the kind of coordination of RLC congressmen with ONE interests against eUSA as clear evidence that RLC leadership needs to be replaced by reliable and trustworthy leadership.

Haliman called Chickensguys’ actions “childish” and “silly”. He said CG is causing damage to our military. Haliman is “against” such actions. Haliman then indicated that he was not interested in interfering in the RLC agenda. He wants to see them “work with us” instead of “working against us”. But he said that he would have a “hands off” policy with respect to the RLC. Haliman does not think that RLC congressmen are working in concert with ONE nations, and he sees the alignment of RLC congressmen’s actions with ONE’s anti-eUSA agenda as coincidental.

BE/Dan Wang also spoke out against Chickensguys’ actions declaring them “the wrong thing to do”. Dan Wang approves of RLC as a party and asserts that they have every right to believe whatever they want and have whatever stance they want to have. He does not believe they should be “breaking rules”, however. BE/DW then tried to compare INCI with RLC saying that they do the same things. CA answered that INCI had been censured for selling citizenship, but that they had not been letting in enemy combatants with the same kind of systematic and obvious abandon that RLC is doing so.

The balance of the conversation had to do with whether or not RLC is attempting a foreign PTO of eUSA. Civil Anarchy believes they most certainly are. BE/Dan Wang does not. Haliman did not comment on this issue specifically. Civil Anarchy calls for a “National Effort” against current RLC leadership. Haliman “will not stop anyone from trying to stop RLC.” BE/DW wondered aloud why the government can’t just try working with the RLC leadership.
Haliman was asked why he chose stewy for VP when it was well-known that he was going into two-click mode.

Haliman answered that stewy had been asked several weeks prior but had not been contacted prior to the release of his VP announcement article. Hal also said that stewy had been asked to stay on the ticket until just after the election, but that he would not be seeking any other running mate.
The next question asked all three candidates which nations would be targeted as possible places to attack.

BE/DW answered that attacking Canada is the only point to his campaign. So Canada. And Canada.

Haliman indicated that the war with Canada had robbed us of our MPP stack (our set of allied nations) so restoring that would be the primary goal. He mentioned the importance of keeping our Mexican regions. Beyond that, he was not sure where we would be fighting beyond supporting our allies.

Civil Anarchy said that he and his defense staff had been discussing many different options. He mentioned possibly Indonesia due to their occupation of Australia and the fact that they were very near to 100/100, making them a supply nation for ONE. He said we needed to keep our eyes on Poland.
The candidates were asked how Poland’s leaving ONE would affect their administration.

BE/DW would be willing to be open to any country (including Poland) to become allied with. He says that sometimes you’ve got to “forgive and forget”.

Civil Anarchy approaches Poland with extreme caution. He said that if Poland were to go completely Neutral, it would positively impact the feasibility of an Indonesian military campaign.

Haliman does not trust Poland. He would want to talk and wait and see.
The next question had to do with Rough Rider’s fantastic article titled The Government is Broken

Haliman said that he has been saying that the government is broken from the beginning of his campaign. He sounded generally very disappointed that the New Citizen Message was so badly formatted and was critical of President Evry for not knowing better. He called the message “terrible”. He said it was “scary” that circumstances are as bad as they are.

Civil Anarchy pointed out that much of the current problem resides in the fact that the Secretary of Interior went AFK and the Secretary of Technology had also quit. His cabinet calls for Molly Emma to return as Secretary of Interior as someone very capable of fixing the problems. His solution to the problem is to bring in the right people.

BE/DW incorrectly asserted that any congressman can propose a new citizen message. Aside from that small error, he felt that it would be easy to fix what was wrong.
The question was raised about bringing in “new blood” into cabinet positions.

All three candidates said one form of “yes” or another.
A question was asked about the OWLS, specifically about the recent instances of OWLS members fighting against our allies even though they are an official branch of the USAF.

Haliman basically indicated that as a full branch of the military, they are expected to listen to military orders. If they want to keep getting government funds, they need to keep following orders.

Civil Anarchy indicated that OWLS had been restructured recently because of what had happened, so his viewpoint is that perhaps the problem has already been addressed, but that it was important to continue to work with pentafive (OWLS CO) to make sure orders were being followed.

BE/DW said that any military leader who orders their unit to fight against our interests would have his position revoked. It was a strong and clear stance from BE/DW.
The last interesting question was asked of all three candidates, asking them a factual question about the economic logistics of making Q7 weapons.

None of the candidates had the slightest clue what they were talking about. It was the best question of the night.

That was the main gist of the thing.
