Election Analysis

Day 1,649, 22:39 Published in USA Pakistan by Kutluk Bilge Kul Ishamael

Another session of Congressional Elections has just been concluded in our beloved ecountry. Considering the positive response that I got for my analysis last month, I have decided to do another one this time around which I hope will receive a similar result to the one that I published a month ago.

The total number of votes cast this time around finally broke the 3000 mark (3006), implying a mild increase from last month (2983 votes cast). Firstly, a paint map of the electoral map of the US (territories and possessions are ignored for the purpose of this map only):

Key: USWP = Red, AMP = Green, Inci = Yellow, Feds = Blue, USMJ = Pink

General Comments:

The USWP maintained their dominance in Congress by bagging 19 seats, allowing them to continue as the biggest party in the legislature for one more month. The AMP, which had a torrid time in the last Congressional Elections, rebounded wonderfully, bagging 6 more seats, bringing up their tally to 16. Inci maintained their presence in Congress by winning 12 seats. The Federalists will be the fourth biggest party in Congress this time around, after they won only six seats. The USMJ’s decline continues, as they won only 3 seats.

High Profile Casualties:

Compared to last month, the amount of high profile casualties was rather low, with most of the big names able to carve out a seat for themselves on the Legislature. Maybe it has something to do with the end of exams or perhaps it was some other reason, either way, eUsa will have the privilege of seeing most of the so called elites in action in Congress for the next month.

From the USWP, Henry Pfeiffer Arundel and Cerb were not elected, mainly because they ran as blockers. The AMP was also able to elect most of its big names with the possible exception of Dokomo, who lost in Iowa to a USMJ congressman. The Federalist leadership including former president Oblige, Gnilraps and Stewy also made it into Congress although party president Twisted-Pixel was sniped in the final stages by a USWP candidate. USMJ suffered significant losses in Wisconsin and Utah, with Errorka, an ambassador, and Yioryas, the longtime serving Congressman from Utah, unable to make it into Congress this time around. There were no major losses in Inci.

General Analysis:
In general, the elections were conducted fairly and with good spirit, although accusations of alleged vote buying were mildly greater than last month. The USWP showed the reason for them being top dog by sniping a large amount of seats in the final stages of the election, winning several close key contests. This was also a good month for the AMP, who rebounded nicely from the shock results they suffered last month. Inci and Feds were also able to keep their presence in Congress to similar levels as compared to last month. Perhaps the top five party which should be worried the most is the USMJ, which continues to lose seats every election cycle as it finds it hard to compete with the numerically stronger larger parties.

Election day was a fairly “meh” night for sixth parties, with the Conservative Party and Bastards of Liberty both winning a seat apiece, while most of their candidates were defeated in several states.

That’s all for now from your election analyst.
