Big in Japan (Mandatory listening)
Day 2992 of the New World
January 29, 2016

Well, Bulgaria sure was Big in Japan.

...in Japan.

Alaska? Not so much.

By now everyone knows the strategy. If you are going to attack the eUSA, be prepared to spend a wad of cash. I’m not criticizing it. Because we also know what the strategy is for defending the eUSA… spend a wad of cash.

Nobody who is being intellectually honest can deny this.

I’m not rejecting the notion that eUSA has allies. Our allies are as awesome as any in the eWorld. But eUSA’s militarily strongest allies (eGreece, eSlovenia, and ePoland) are not our strongest relationships. (You could argue that the eGreece/eUSA relationship is gaining strength, and perhaps they should be in a different category than eSlovenia and ePoland).

No, eUSA’s best bonds are with eNations that are lower tier military powers than eUSA herself. eLatvia and eArgentina are our best buds, but if we combine their damage, they do just better than doubling our effective damage potential. (Using averages, eLatvia+eArgentina = eUSA*1.1).

You can see why eGreece is such a big deal!

eBulgaria, meanwhile, has some powerful friends.

eHungary, eChile, eFYROM, eSpain even.

By average damage alone, eBulgaria should be able to be big in Alaska.

But they aren’t. They suck in Alaska.

In short, eBulgaria LOST.

In fact, considering the fact that eUSA just got attacked by eFYROM, eChile, and eBulgaria, and considering the fact that all three were sent home with their tail between their legs, let me be the first in the media to say it…

eUSA won.

My point is that eUSA won against superior firepower, and we did it with superior spending.

And my other point is that nobody should really have a problem with that.

In fact, we should probably have a serious conversation about how easily the eUSA financial empire was actually able to swallow this attack.

As we know from intelligence that is by now common knowledge, the recent effort against eUSA was the result of a spectacular campaign to raise funds from wealthy players who all desire to see eUSA bleed.

eUSA, meanwhile, dipped its finger into the financial reserve and beat back with aplomb. Without revealing any details, eUSA hasn’t come anywhere CLOSE to scraping the bottom of its financial barrel, let alone start collecting significant donations from private citizens. (Rea😛 millions and millions).

(Yes, there was a propeganda campaign conducted by certain higher-ups in eUSA designed to convince our enemies that we’d begun to raise significant private funds… Maybe some private citizens donated some… maybe not. It was mostly a BS campaign designed to impose fear.)

Anyway, you see my point? The following should be acknowledge😛

1 - eUSA is basically the 10th strongest military power in the game.

2 - eUSA is probably the most financially secure power in the game.

3 - Money wins.

In the face of those who might accuse me of stating the obvious up to now, I want to take this a step further…

Those of us who have been playing this game for a long time know that eUSA has been looked down upon as a crappy ally. We’ve been selfish, fickle, and prickly. We’ve also suffered much from our Real Life international reputation, but even some of that ends up trickling into our game too.

But let the eWorld know. eUSA is the most desirable ally in this game. You may have to swallow your pride to admit it (and some of you won't... watch the comments.) But here, take a Big Mac to help you wash down that pride. But the reality of it is this: eUSA is as close to an impregnable force as this game currently has, even when measured against those eNations which clearly have stronger Military power than we do.

So you can be as big as you want to be in Japan. LOL.

But good luck in Alaska.

One last thing.

I gladly invite eBulgaria to join our sphere of influence. I have always had a warmth for eBulgaria and would rather fight FOR them than AGAINST them.

So let’s talk.

But if you think you’re going to succeed against eUSA?

This, by the way, is why the real story in this game is and will continue to be the disposition of eRomania/eSerbia.
