RANK UP!!!
o7 get at it soldiers, rank yer self up a notch!
Get your TW experience in and get healthy!
Prepare for hopeful deployments and aide to some of our friends in distress...

🙂
@Useless?
/me is always in distress, so I hear 😉
Get in the fight, Brutes! Show them our strength and grow stronger in doing so.
@Grainne Ni Mhaille :
Last year we fought by the head-stream of the So-Kan,
This year we are fighting on the Tsung-ho road.
We have washed our armor in the waves of the Chiao-chi lake,
We have pastured our horses on Tien-shan’s snowy slopes.
The long, long war goes on ten thousand miles from home.
Our three armies are worn and grown old.
The barbarian does man-slaughter for plowing;
On his yellow sand-plains nothing has been seen but blanched skulls and bones.
Where the Chin emperor built the walls against the Tartars,
There the defenders of Han are burning beacon fires.
The beacon fires burn and never go out.
There is no end to war!—
In the battlefield men grapple each other and die;
The horses of the vanquished utter lamentable cries to heaven,
While ravens and kites peck at human entrails,
Carry them up in their flight, and hang them on the branches of dead trees.
So, men are scattered and smeared over the desert grass,
And the generals have accomplished nothing.
Oh, nefarious war! I see why arms
Were so seldom used by the benign sovereigns.

You know where to find aide, Grainne 😉
I'm with Dan in prose:
Shancoduff
My black hills have never seen the sun rising,
Eternally they look north towards Armagh.
Lot's wife would not be salt if she had been
Incurious as my black hills that are happy
When dawn whitens Glassdrummond chapel.
My hills hoard the bright shillings of March
While the sun searches in every pocket.
They are my Alps and I have climbed the Matterhorn
With a sheaf of hay for three perishing calves
In the field under the Big Forth of Rocksavage.
The sleety winds fondle the rushy beards of Shancoduff
While the cattle-drovers sheltering in the Featherna Bush
Look up and say: "Who owns them hungry hills
That the water-hen and snipe must have forsaken?
A poet? Then by heavens he must be poor."
I hear, and is my heart not badly shaken?
-Patrick Kavanagh
O7.
Get at me.
Only in eIreland could DoD orders become a poetry thread. I like it. Here's another:
Nor dread nor hope attend
A dying animal;
A man awaits his end
Dreading and hoping all;
Many times he died,
Many times rose again.
A great man in his pride
Confronting murderous men
Casts derision upon
Supersession of breath;
He knows death to the bone --
Man has created death.
W.B. Yeats

"Fight and heal to 100 wellness"
Can you do this unless you started at 100 wellness? And is it not better that we train before fighting so we should be healing to 99 wellness (in a perfect world).
Loving the warrior-poets 🙂
(and Kavanagh, my favourite Monaghan Man 😉
But the old ones do it for me :
"Caithfidh fir Éireann uile
o haicme go haonduine...
gliec na timcheall no tuitim..."
G xx
Kav, still trying to determine that. Tomorrow I'll fight down to 40 and see where I heal to.
@The Poets 🙂
"I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself.
A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough
without ever having felt sorry for itself"
~D.H. Lawrence
I can confirm that the hospital update has NOT taken effect yet
Can we get the times battles are on posted?
(wee note for anyone wondering. Early fights just after zero are suffering from a missing hospital button, even if you have creds for the day. You will be unable to heal. Its a bug I have noticed, as have others, for the last few days now.
HOWEVER
\o/
Go chill, have a cig, or a cup of Lyon's, or some other relaxing but short-timed pastime Soldier 😉
Go check again, I'd give it at least 15 minutes. (like today)
Hey presto, nurses are back on duty and yer broken corpse is good to go again.
Have ticketed it, but ofc no joy 😕
Be strong, be safe!
Big Love
G xx
@gabe- short answer; I f-ing wish! Keep your eye out. They're rather inconsistent.
@MC and Grainne, thanks 🙂
