Day 9 - California, Texas Return to the Union!

Day 9 -

North America

There were Resistance Wars aplenty yesterday in North America. California, Texas, New Mexico, North Dakota, all were the sites of resistance.
In California, the Americans pulled out a surprise victory. The battle was opened at a poor time for the Americans, by a drunk National Guard member, and the early thought was that it was an enormous waste of money. But, the Americans showed their heart, spirit, and pocketbooks, and liberated the former capital from Indonesia. At the moment, there is a resistance in Arizona, and the USA and Indonesia are tied at 5 battles apiece. This should be a hard fought battle into the night. Indonesia also attacked the freshly liberated California, and currently holds a slight lead over the United States.
Texas was also liberated from the forces of Hungary yesterday. That’s the good news. The bad news, is that the United States was hoping that they could close the war with Hungary, making it much more difficult for the ONE powerhouse to attack American states.
That was also the idea in New Mexico. American forces were fighting on behalf of Spain, so that the war with Hungary could close. If two nations do not share a border, then there is no active war. America can continue to resistance war their regions back, but Hungary would have to declare war again. Although it is good to win Texas and New Mexico, strategically, it isn’t that great.
In other promising news, Poland and the United States are no longer at war. This comes because Indiana was lost yesterday, meaning that the USA and Poland don’t share a border.
Canada, however, may be made to pay for helping America, as Poland has invaded Nova Scotia.

Things are looking up...

South America
Brazil lost the last of their natural regions yesterday. However, they remain on the map because they own two territories in South Africa. These regions are under threat of Resistance, and it is likely that Brazil will lose them. However, the Brazilians are dominating Peru in the Resistance for Rio Grande do Sol, and that region will likely be returned to Brazil tonight.
Bolivia has also been returned to the map, this is important, because Argentina had previously owned those regions, and with Bolivia on the map again, this seals off Argentina from Peru, and closes that war, a promising sign for the former Terra ally.

Europe
Portugal lost its early lead in the Southeast of Mexico, and now the Azores have come under fire. This war appears to be going back and forth, with neither side being able to sustain much. This is because both nations generally rely on their much stronger allies for help in a lengthy campaign, and all of those nations are occupied.
And as usual, there are Resistance Wars aplenty in Europe.

Overall Analysis
The closing of the USA/Poland; Argentina/Peru; Brazil/Peru; Brazil/Spain wars, are a huge boost to the Terra/EDEN war effort. This allows those nations to use Resistance wars to reclaim their regions, without worry of a counterattack, unless ONE wants to pay to reopen them. This is the most promising news yet. If the United States can mange to close the war with Hungary, the North American invasion could turn around. Indonesia and the USA will likely remain at war, because the Indonesians do not want to capture Hawaii, due to a fear of Chinese invasion.
Overall, the war seems to be turning, although at the rate of a tanker; quite slowly and laboriously. Hopefully, Terra/EDEN can continue this momentum, and keep working as a team.
