Day 6 - Victory in Wisconsin; Texas falls.

Day 6 -

North America
Victory at last for the Americans. After weeks of losing ground, Wisconsin rejoined the Union. A resistance war was started, and America showed that they can in fact defeat Spain. By starting a battle outside of Spain’s prime-time, the United States was able to build a sizable lead, and ultimately retake the northern state.
America also saw victory in Hawaii. Although this one is less impressive, as it was initiated by the Indonesians. The Indonesians were highly concerned that they other regional power (China) would declare them natural enemy, and use Hawaii as a point of invasion. Even though this victory was aided by the Indonesians, it is still a victory. And it will do much to improve morale. The other important thing this win does, is that it separates the capital of Indonesia from their conquests in North America, meaning that they are not getting any resource bonuses for it.
However, even with good news, there is bad. Just after the last edition was published, Poland, Hungary and Indonesia launched attacks.
Poland attacked and conquered Rhode Island. This leaves Connecticut as the last target left for Poland in New England, unless they plan on marching though Canada to get to Maine. After the fall of Rhode Island, Poland attacked Ohio, and in about an hour, they will secure that state as well.

Northeastern United States

Hungary attacked and conquered Arkansas. This gave them a border with Texas, and they immediately used that to their advantage, and attacked Texas. This will be a source of great lulz for Hungary’s longtime ally, Serbia, as they have wanted to control Texas for a long time. Whether Hungary attacks Oklahoma, or Louisiana, it is really of no consequence, as neither is particularly strategic.

Southeastern United States

Indonesia attacked and conquered Oregon. This region was only open to them after the botched region swap between the United States and Canada. The American capital has also come under fire, although it may be possible for the United States to mount a sizable comeback, as they are entering their prime-time.
Lastly, New Hampshire is about to be returned to the United States. This is awful news, as Canada was acting as a shield for the Americans. This means that Maine will not be cutoff from the rest of the country, and that Poland will be able to invade it.

South America
Brazil continues to tangle with Peru, and now Argentina has joined in as well. The Argentinians attacked Southern Low Amazon, in order to try and siphon off from damage to help their ally. This move backfired. Although the Peruvians barely secured the initial Argentine attack, they countered with an attack on Lima, Argentina. This battle is already up (6-0) in favor of Peru.
On the Brazilian front, the Brazilians continue their struggle with Peru. After a successful resistance war in North of Brazil, they have been stonewalled in Parana and Santa Catarina. This once again shows the dominance of ONE, and their ability to use smaller nations.

Western Europe
Portugal and Mexico continue to fight, and Portugal is currently leading in their defense of Southeast of Mexico. If they are successful, the Portuguese would likely attack the Gulf of Mexico again, and try and take that region.

Overall Analysis
The victories in Wisconsin and Hawaii, are tempered by the massive losses across the rest of the country. America can’t fight a war on four fronts, plus manage region swaps with Canada. War is too cheap, and there isn’t enough allied support to be able to pull it off.
However, a win is a win. And at a time like this, it was exactly what the Americans needed. It may be a little easier for the United States to win resistance wars, as more and more of their population are trapped behind enemy lines. This means that they have a large force already ‘deployed’ to the enemy country to fight in the resistance wars.
In South America, ONE is demonstrating the perfect way to use a puppet. Peru should never be able to beat the Brazilians, nor the Argentinians. Never mind both simultaneously. This shows that ONE will use smaller countries when they need them (Peru) and forget about them when they don’t (Mexico).
