Congress announcements(edition7)

It has been approximatly 2 weeks since my last report (edition6) as Chairman of Congress.
There where some of the usual mud-trowing between the political factions of our country, but in the end a few(from any side) called their fellow CM's to calm down and focus on the jobs at hand.

There was also a little debate about changing taxes, yet nothing came from it.
The sudden rise of the new eBelgian players united under the name Eclypsia did spark fierce debates between the already existing political factions.
In the end the debate did return back to matters of interest to congress and it's function within our nation.

There was also a debate in private about starting a fight with another country, but nothing came from that.

There was only 1 matter that have been discussed on the forum:
◎ Scrap/adapt laws - a new attempt : This is a debate that builds further upon this topic. This matter mainly focused upon the removal of certain laws that exist in our current law-book, but they might not serve our current nation very well. There was also some input to other laws that where not to be removed yet require significant changes if they would remain to be useful to our nation. A vote to remove laws was launched and is currently still pending.


Here are the in-game laws that where launched since last edition:
✖ [REJECTED]Natural Enemy : Due to the sudden rise of eBelgian population(babyboom) from an outside group called Eclypsia And as direct result of a fierce debate about their political support for the CP election, this Natural Enemy law was launched but got rejected with 7 Yes votes and 18 No votes.

✔ [APPROVED]Donate : This proposal was also part of the distribution of the "Epic Warfare" tournament fundings. It takes several steps because of the large amounts. The proposal was approved with 20 Yes - 9 No.

✔ [APPROVED]Donate : This proposal was launced at the request of the CP who had the intention to play with it on the Monetary Market. This article[/url[ shows you it had some reasonable success. The proposal was approved with 17 Yes - 5 No.

✔ [APPROVED]Alliance/MPP : President of Belgium proposed a mutual protection pact with Chile after some debate held in a private mass-message for congress, there where no strong objections to this proposal as the results show. Approved with 22 Yes - 0 No.

✔ [APPROVED]Alliance/MPP : President of Belgium proposed a mutual protection pact with Poland and it was approved by congress with 18 Yes and 5 No votes.

Extra note on the MPP proposals: These MPP's where launced in response to the proposed Airstrike from Israel. Afterwards it becane clear that it was never a serious invasion, but more an attempt to provide some fun to their citizens.

✏ [PENDING]President Impeachment : This proposal was launched not to remove the current CP(e Vladimir), but as a statement of dissatisfaction of the last act made by the previous CP(Thanatos) who took all the money(gold/currency) out of the bank to, as he said, protect it against a possible treath. This money will soon be returned as the transfer of leadership takes place.


This is pretty much all that has happened in congress(or at least related to congress) since my previous report.
