Canada: Loner Of The North

Ottawa, Canada- Life is good in the America's. There are no major hostilities between any of its nations and the dominant powers and potential threat all lay on the other sides of major oceans. From the looks of the continent you would almost think that a leader here would not have to worry about foreign relations, which would be nice but at the same time misleading.
On the dawn of war the nations of the America's are a bit behind their European counter parts with their top three military powers (USA,Brazil, and Canada) coming in at 9,14, and 16 respectively. But the United States has taken a good look at the military situation and has struck mutual protection pacts with eleven different countries which would make a huge international incident should an invasion be launched against them. Out of those eleven four of them are nations on the Americas.
They have a pact with their neighbor to the south, Mexico as well as with the second greatest military power in the Americas, Brazil. This is Perhaps the most powerful of all the alliances in the Americas, with the U.S., Brazil,Mexico,Venezuela, and Argentina all allied with each other. It would be wise for Canada to try to get in this group. As the saying goes “If you can't beat em, join em.”
Those military pacts should worry Canada as they have yet to strike a mutual protection pact with any other nation. If Canada fails to take action in global diplomacy they may be in for a rough time. Relations between the U.S. and Canada are good now but what if there is a major change in congress and the president? If relations deteriorate between the two and war is declared the Canadians will have to fight a very steep uphill battle.
The United States is growing at a faster rate and already has a huge lead on Canada in every category. If Canada wants to stay relative in the Americas they must find a strong ally and increase their numbers faster. Canada is projected to increase in population by 70% in April but the US is expected to increase by 100% thus doubling their population. The U.S. also has a large military strength advantage with Canada at 5104 to 1979.Though war is a unlikely and quite a bit of a stretch its better to be prepared in case things do get ugly and a larger population wouldn't hurt. Diplomacy is the key.
I hope you enjoyed this article, I know its not as good as my last one but with the upcoming war module release I needed something to tide me over.
Population predictions calculated using growth between April 1st and now.

I wish we already had an alliance with Canada. They have some great intelligent and active citizenry. We need to be prepared at both our borders and the Americas need to concerned about safety in general. We can\'t rest on our laurels! Has anyone determined what would be the scenario for a US invasion?
Yes. We here at the Department Of Defense have it all figured out. So were prepared.
Canada won\'t sign anything... the president isn\'t active enough. My main goal as a candidate was to sign in somesort of MPP, but Faltnor isn\'t going to do anything.
One of the many reasons I\'m getting out as soon as I\'m not a congressmen.
Where do you plan on going to Mr Aitken?
So far i\'ve narrowed it down to here or the UK, but I will leave just about anytime there is a war so that I can help defend. I plan to travel a lot.
Corrupt leaders- a good reason to invade Canada
Didn\'t you write this yesterday?
@ Joe : I\"ve read your articles and it\'s a shame your country didn\'t vote for you. You\'re obviously the better choice and one that wouldn\'t sit on his ass and let his country be occupied. IMHO I think that we should already have a pact with Canada as of yesterday. They have good strength and great culture.
@Diarmui😛 I think you are letting Jesus get into your head a bit too much, war with Canada would serve no real beneficial purpose.
