Bristel Akina for Congress

Day 915, 23:47 Published in Ireland Ireland by Bristel Akina

Good morning eIreland.

Bristel here again to run for congress in Dublin under the Éire Aontaithe party.

Because of a few RL issues, I haven't had a lot of time to write a platform, but here's the short and sweet version.

My plans for eIreland and my congress plans

Increased communication between all of our TDs and Ministry officials

I've not been the most communicative in the last few weeks, but during this session of Congress, I plan on communicating with TDs from all parties. Messaging TDs and increased amounts of Dail participation are my goals first of all.

More participation with Brolliance member officials and congressmen

This may not be an expected job, but I promise to talk to all of our member states about individual problems our alliance faces. Whether or not I receive an actual position in working with our Bro's congressmen, I expect that working together as a whole should be a goal for all of us.

Getting increased participation from ambassadors, and hiring new faces

This is another goal of mine. My participation as Ambassador to three countries has been woefully lacking, and this is my chance to work harder, and to get others to work harder in our positions.

-New faces for our Ambassador program. We need to see more Ambassadors working to secure better relationships with our allies and our enemies as well.

A topic of interest is the "copy paste" newspaper reports on the countries we have Ambassadors in.

We need to push hard to get more investigative work on other countries... Actually talking to our individual client countries' Presidents and Ministers of Foreign Affairs or Department of State leaders in order to gather information that actually matters.

The eUK situation

We've all seen this unfolding the last week in our media... The seeming "inevitable" attack by the eUK.

This is a threat, no matter what the true purpose of their trolling is. And we should do everything in our power to defend ourselves should the need arise.

As a congressman, and as a citizen of eIreland, this may be the most important thing we'll have to face in the coming month.

I expect that we should stay on our toes, and be ready to enact new tax changes or MPP proposals on the quick in case we find ourselves actually invaded by the eUK.

A wonderful chance to work together

As a member of Éire Aontaithe, it has been a pleasure to reach out to other parties, and to support other parties or citizens in order to progress as a whole country, and not just a partisan state.

I welcome the chance to work with Congressmen from every party, and I hope to work with you all again.

--Bristel Akina, TD Dublin, Éire Aontaithe

Remember folks, our country can pull together in tough situations... But we must always strive to pull together even when our enemies or hard times are not upon us.
