Black Sheep for Congress - Dictatorship is Expensive!

Soon game changes ( https://www.erepublik.com/en/main/latest-updates ) will cause the daily income of the eUSA government to be halved, with a minimum of 25 gold worth of currency loss daily. This loss of national income will only befall dictatorships. The Government must consider what to do about this. The options available are 1) to double the taxes to keep the “same” income while maintaining the dictatorship, 2) Keep taxes the same and return to a democratic state, 3) Double taxes but return to a democracy using the additional income to build up reserves if attacked or if there is an attempted coup.
Option 1 has the problem that doubling taxes suddenly, to offset this new 50% dictator income loss, is that we will not maintain operational income at current levels. To at least some extent production will be moved to other more favorable locations. This movement of production is not impossible, and really in some instances not all that hard. More than doubling taxes brings much production in the eUSA to the point of operating at a financial loss; production drops, taxes collected drop.
The remaining two options both involve removing the dictatorship and the return of democracy.
The eUSA is currently one of the best places in the eWorld to undertake production. We have all resources but one, we enjoy general peace and stability of our borders. We have lots of foreign use of these ideal conditions for production. This has further strengthened our defense! Some would hesitate to attack us because they have an interest in our great economy and many foreigners would defend us because they share or resources and economy. We need to continue to be the economic power we are.
The Black Sheep Party is well known for their long fight to promote the lowest tax rates feasible.
As a group The Black Sheep favor a democracy and a return to a true in-game Congress. A functioning in-game Congress assures a certain transparency that the remote, sometimes unfriendly forum does not. It may well serve to encourage those currently not interested in the food fight which is the Meta Congress, to serve as part an in-game Congress and increase player involvement.
The next month will be crucial as we move toward this important game mechanic change. Vote for the Black Sheep Party to assure your interest are heard at this important time.

"A functioning in-game Congress assures a certain transparency that the remote, sometimes unfriendly forum does not."
How is a voting system which keeps no record of who voted in which manner more transparent than years of recorded roll call votes, where you can see exactly where everyone stands?
Where would I start...the results of the vote are shown in game! They are easy to see, no need to go to a third party site. No need for elected congressmen to submit to a series of often arbitrary rules to be allowed to participate...
Or arbitrary exclusion of votes because someone in power "doesn't like you"
You didn't answer Pfieffer's question. How do you can you see exactly where everyone stands?
Way I see it, it actually reduces transparency because no-one will know if the BS have actually carried out on their promises for low taxes.
'Arbitrary rules'
Citation needed.
You are not making a logica argument. How can you expect people to be able to engage if you do not use reason?
Yes, "arbitrary rules". Some elected congressmen are excluded from participation. The threshold for one (in-game) elected congressman participation in the Meta Congresses forum is not that for others - arbitrary.
Yes, the in game result of a vote, even if it doesn't say who voted how, is more transparent to many players that do not want to browse through a third party forum. A forum that by the way often is unwelcoming to the extreme, and operated not in the interest of an elected congress as a whole, but more to further the interest of a select faction within.
The question now is to what extent does the wider community want to pay to protect this vested faction that prefers the smoke filled rooms of the forum, and the protection of their dominance behind the dictatorship, vs. those that want a strong economy and a in-game democracy which is easier for most to take part in.
Here's your citation for arbitrary rules Pfeiffer: https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-congress-an-injustice--2624946/1/20
The exclusion of a democratically elected congressman because someone in power "doesn't like you". Under in-game democracy nobody can take your vote away. Only you can give it up, voluntarily.
So where are votes recorded for things that aren't necessarily reflected by in-game laws?
Several votes are done in private congress section. Only members of congress and the "advisors"can see that. When you publish what happens there you loose access to all congress sections.

It seems democracy is coming. Good luck my friends.
Dictatorship..... way to pick off the low hanging fruit
Now is the time for the discussion. The voters can exercise their choice. Let them understand how much the dictatorship is going to cost, and who exactly does it make safer?

There are not enough daily transactions in the marketplace to make the benefits to consumers of lowering prices outweigh the benefits of having large cash reserves in government.
