Belgium: The Epitome Of Military Darwanism

Brussels, Belgium- Overshadowed by the events unfolding in between Pakistan and China and Canada and the U.S. the government of Belgium is about to pass possibly the greatest military flop of all time. Today the president of Belgium has proposed war on the United Kingdom and so far their have been 4 votes for war, none against, and six have yet to be cast. What makes this declaration of war a mistake? I'll show you.
The numbers don't lie, Belgium's military totals a mere 78 while the U.K. has a total of 579 soldiers. Now as any fool can see 579 is a much bigger number then 78 and the U.K.'s military wins the overall strength battle 3,654 to 298. Belgium clearly losses the strength battle but there is more to this war then just raw strength, unfortunately for Belgium it does not benefit them.
Not only does the United Kingdom lay home of the 8th most powerful military but they are also a member of the bloc commonly dubbed the 1066 bloc between the U.S., Ireland, and themselves. If Belgium declares war on Britain they will be dragged into war with two other nations without any allies themselves.
Lastly the Belgian army has no easy way to invade Britain. Belgium lies to the south east of the U.K.. If they even had the man power to invade they would have to assault the most heavily populated region of England which would be statistically impossible when your out gunned 6 to 1 and when the enemy has the defensive bonus.
Now why is Belgium declaring war on the U.K.? I have searched the entire site for information on this matter and even in the Belgian times (The newspaper of the president of Belgium) there is nothing about a war with the Britain.
This has got to be good news for The Netherlands as they neighbor Belgium. Though they are not as strong as the U.K. The Netherlands military is three times the size of their Belgian neighbors and if Belgium is weakened anymore they can easily launch an offensive and serve up some Belgian waggles. They would also set up good relations with a powerful ally, Britain. As the saying goes an enemy of the enemy is a friend and this most certainly would be the case if The Netherlands could save the British of this annoyance. The only barrier here is that The Netherlands lack the money for war but you never know, Britain might just pay the cost and use The Netherlands as their mercenary.
Bottom line: Foolish move by the Belgian government, results in a steady supply of Waffles to Britain, and proves that those unable to adapt in the military world will die out.

It\'s a new newspaper thing. It\'s buggy right now, but they\'ll get it.
And I\'m sorry to say, but you went through all that work writing this for nothing....the plan is to have Belgium become part of the UK, just like Romainia and Moldova.(see the contracts) I pm\'d both presidents yesterday about it, and they told me that, but also told me not to release the info in my article, promising an exclusive interview if I didn\'t, so I didn\'t. But today the UK citizens told everyone about it on the foruums....and I feel screwed. But I should have an interview with both leaders tomorrow
@Emerick: I think the reason they didnt want you to relaese it in your newspaper was becuase they didnt want the Citzens of UK and Belgium finding out from an foreign newspaper. If I were in their position I would want to be the first to tell my citizens.
I\'m also a little confused with what i hear... i heard the Belgium is declaring war on us too and like a lot of other countries...
So Belgium is simply surrendering their country by declaring war on everyone? Their citizens have to feel stupid for electing those people into office.
